Minor things to add: -In Clayface’s monologue referencing Lost, the camera man is heard coughing. It’s likely the Joker is the one filming Clayface. -The reason Riddler already ruled out Bruce Wayne is Batman is because Prof. Strange figured it out first, evidenced in tape recordings from Arkham City. Because Riddler sees himself as the pinnacle of human intelligence, he refuses to believe someone figured out Batman’s identity first and discounts Strange’s findings as false/inaccurate. He simply doubles down in Knight when the identity is revealed to the public.

I agree and was about to post the same thing (for the Clayface bit). The coughing from the cameraman is clearly coming from the real joker while Clayface is pretending to be Joker. Also the Lost reference has been reported to have been Mark Hamil’s favorite tv show and because he voices Joker they added that bit in because of how it ties in somewhat with the game.

If you read the Arkham genisis comics deathstroke is sent to kill him during the events of Arkham asylum by joker but during the final fight Jason tells death stroke he can pay him more than the joker and he lets him leave and they he steals a couple billions from Wayne

Surprised you didn't mention that in the Arkham Asylum tapes he actually was very close to assuming who Batman was but instead of assuming that the technology and gadgets that he got and the money that he would have to acquire such technology could mean that he is someone like Bruce Wayne instead believes that he got the money from all the criminals and therefore he spent it on all of his equipment

Also with the Joker (Clayface) on the TV in the steel mill, he ends that speech by saying no matter what happens I’ll be right behind you. Which is where the real Joker was when he shot Talia. The real Joker is holding the camera during that speech too. You can tell when he zooms back in and starts coughing due to his condition.

Also fun fact if you listen to the tapes in Arkham City, Strange tells Riddlers they are equals until he realizes Riddler doesn't know who batman is

The Riddler's denial can also stem from him not figuring it out yet and refuses having the answer told to him. He does like riddles and it's no fun when someone tells you the answer.

I always found it neat that retroactively Clayface Joker's monologue about Lost fit in to Arkham Origins. Joker gets told "what it's all about" upon encountering Batman and changing his obsession from simple anarchy and impressing his own ideology upon the populace to his obsession with Batman. "Would you be happy? Does it make sense?" refers to their bizarre relationship. And "how come it all ended in a church?" is obviously where Batman follows Joker to at the end of Origins. Again, this is RETROACTIVE. I don't want people seeing my comment and being like "that's what they actually meant!" It was definitely in reference to Lost, just neat how art works like this sometimes.

I really feel like Batman should’ve been able to figure out that joker was actually clayface by using his detective mode. I mean he’s the worlds greatest detective and doesn’t even question why joker doesn’t have bones or are they implying in the canon he never used his detective mode at any point while around clay joker? There's no reason to assume he'd use it all the time, and at that point of the night Batman was already hallucinating. If he were to use it and he saw Joker was boneless, there'd be no reason for him to blatantly assume it was Clayface, and not some form of interference, ploy from Joker or his own mind tricking him.

Honestly, it does make sense that some people might doubt that Bruce Wayne is Batman. I don't have a full-blown theory or anything, but from the perspective of the citizens of Gotham, it could just seem like another one of Scarecrow's schemes to bring down another influential figure in the city. I mean, what's stopping Scarecrow from kidnapping Bruce Wayne, dressing him up as Batman, and running with that narrative? I hope that makes some kind of sense haha

Personally, Deadshot was always a whatever character in the arkhamverse, so I don’t really mind the 2 Deadshot thing. They even address it in SSKTJL so it’s not really a “retcon” which is pretty nice, I’m guessing the SSKTJL Deadshot is the legit one

Yeah that's what Im thinking. When Riddler described the Miagani as a tribe who lived there in pre colonial times, I got the gist that the Arkham version of them was simply a Native American tribe whose name was a reference to the comics but had no connections to time travel in the game's lore

About the Miagani people, they were there before Batman fought Darkseid. Meaning, it doesn’t prove they fought. It’s just a reference. Doesn’t prove they didn’t, either. But there’s another powerful DC villain in Gotham: Starro. He’s in a secret room in the Batgirl DLC.

One thing I noticed most people don't bring up is the way ClayJoker talks to Batman. The nickname part is one thing but theres a certain comedic air real Joker always gives in his dialog, where as Clayjoker just talks normal. Not only doesn he not Call Batman "Bats" but he doesn't make any jokes. He got the voice and tone but rarely if ever does he say anything with a hint of comedy or pun. This is also reflective in the death screens with how straight to the point Clayjoker is where real Joker still makes quips or has some levity to what he says. Maybe its obvious people got that but I never seen anyone bring it up so I don't know if its justntoo obvious to point out or if it was too subtle to notice

Another small indication that "Joker" is really Clayface may be that when Batman arrives to save Thalia, the film "The Terror" is playing, a classic film in which he participated as the main antagonist and which, in fact, is very linked to his background, because one of the reasons why he became a criminal was because he discovered that a remake of the film was going to be made but with another actor.

It wouldn’t be that far fetched and I would not be surprised if Batman knew about Nth Metal through both Hawkman and Hawkgirl. They can exist in this universe and could have met Batman at some point, maybe through the Justice League Imagine if Rocksteady do a game centred around the Long Halloween/Dark Victory, it can provide an origin story for Two-Face and Dick Grayson/Robin. Also they can use the villains in that story, maybe not Grundy cause Batman only first met him in City.

Great stuff! I only spotted one small mistake... _"Gentleman" Jim Jansen_ comes from the Batman story *Batman's Secret Enemy* , not from *The Rainbow Creature* ... You might have mixed them up because they're both by Grant Morrison (one of my favorites Batman writers), and both stories are part of *Batman: The Black Casebook* (which collects the stories you need to be familiar with if you want to truly enjoy Morrison's excellent Batman/Batman & Robin runs). A video about *The Long Halloween* would be neat, the Arkham Origins file in which Alberto calls Black Mask is one of my favorites extortion tapes. _"Time to get your affairs in order, Roman. There is a change in the air, and the wolves descend on Gotham."_ Anyway, between the awesome "Long Halloween" 2-parter movie, part of the Tomorrowverse, in which Alberto is played by Jack Quaid (Clark Kent from *My Adventures with Superman* & Wee Hughie Campbell from *The Boys* ) and "The Flash" (2023) in which Alberto Falcone is played by Luke Brandon Field, plus the upcoming show *The Penguin* is which Alberto is played by Michael Zegen... Sounds like our (potential) Holiday Boy is going to be pretty busy soon enough! I really like the classic Gotham families, which was one of the reason why I loved the show *Gotham* (season 1 was great with the whole Falcone/Maroni war, then season 4 with... ok no spoilers, just in case ^^). The Falcone vs Maroni gang was was awesome. (David Zayas was fantastic as Sal Maroni, but with Clancy Brown taking his place, I'm confident that they'll find a way to make him work... he was fantastic as Lex Luthor in the DCAU, and he kicked ass as General Wade Eiling in *The Flash* About the other characters on that list, I was super hyped when Tony Zucco showed up in the first season of the show *Titans* (I know that a lot of people love to rag on that one, but Titans & Doom Patrol, aka _the Titanverse_ were a lot of fun to me while the 8 seasons lasted).
