I think what the game sets apart from other games, especially today's, is how immersive it is. And I don't mean it in a sense like every game is now advertised as "immersive experience" by its publishers or developers, which is bullshit. Think about how the map works in modern games and how it works in Gothic. It is a physical item you carry in your inventory. You either take it by force, steal it, trade for it or it is given to you. So it makes sense to give this map to someone else who than does some marking on it or give you special version of a map which then marks a certain location. The game sets rules from the very beginning and adhere to them very consistently (you don't walk into someone's home uninvited; you don't draw your weapon without need, etc.). There were no quest markers and yet you wasn't overwhelmed because the world isn't as big as they make them nowadays. Authors and writers knew there wasn't any markers and had to write dialogues and clues accordingly. Learning points couldn't make you better magically by clicking an icon in a menu. You had to be teached by someone. All this made characters and items appear very grounded to the world. This is what makes a game world immersive. There are far better looking games with ray tracing and all that are way less immersive because you see past the backdrop and décor of a shallow and cheap immitation of an authentic world that is way better telegraphed with Gothic's limited tech and visuals (to today's standard) but clever design choices.

My favourite tune since I first played this game 19 years ago...Kai Rosenkranz made a beautiful soundtrack for every game he was involved.

Greetings! You're right, I've already made a New Camp Tavern video around two years ago. The decision to re-create this video again was because of multiple listeners who didn't like the fire sound in the previous one. It was disturbing to them while doing various activities. Yes the music is the same and the view is almost there too, but the ambience is something new. I've added rain, crowd talking, night ambience and other small details.
