Lol, so I turned the wrong way and accidentally proceeded to annihilate a castle full of harpies and skeletons, which resulted in acquiring a tad more inferior sword to the orc hammer. After I realized, I won't find my hammer there, I again chose the wrong way and found myself attacked by orcs in some kind of a ruin. When I finally found the location I was quite mesmerized I spent so much time cleaning off a fricking castle when I could've just run past a few thingies and have it. Anyway your guide is quite interesting. Sad thing I did not have the hammer for a long time, because I decided I'd rather have an axe, so I used a fireball scroll to make Lares'es beating easier, it turned out that the spell is just too strong against the likes of him, he died miserably. :D

Hey can I ask which mod or patch you used for colors? Because normally in gothic colors are not as dynamic and contrasted as gothic 2 but in this video it is (at first glance I even thought it was gothic 2 😂)

I dunno which is responsible, but here's all the things in my install that are - or that I can't off-hand rule out being - relevant to visuals: - Textures_Patch_Freddy-0.8.exe - ThielHaters_Texturepatch_v1.0.2.exe Union Plugins: - zBrightLight.vdf - MiscUtils.vdf - zUtilities.vdf (The last two add a lot of options to the gothic.ini and maybe some of them are graphics-related, I don't remember) EDIT: actually, from the last frame it looks like I didn't have Union back then, but SystemPack 1.8. Which means it would have to be one of the texture packs.

@@ismaylbayraml775 Last time I checked it out (in Gothic 2) was long ago, but I remember finding lots of reasons to be annoyed with it. Some things just looked wrong, like mists and waterfalls. It made dark forests *really* dark, and I found it impossible to make nightly gameplay work without fucking up brightness during the day. Mostly I didn't like that it disabled the item glow that helps you find herbs: zHighLightScale=5 ; ... enables (1) or disables (0) item highlight swell (default: 0) Though that might only exist in Gothic 2; I'd need to reinstall to be sure.

@@MarkusRamikin yeah dx really makes night hunting almost impossible if you don't use light spell or torches, item highlighting is also a thing but not a very important one I think, cause there no permanent stat plants in G1 unlike G2. Anyway I understand your reasons totally, gothic has never been a game of graphics after all it's the game of immersion and atmosphere xD. Have a nice day good sir

@@MarkusRamikin No i came from orc cemetery side. First i cleared lizards on hill and them i used that bloodhound first walk towards you, so i led him down the hill to pond next to black goblin cave. Killing hounds this way was quite tedious.

@@rimanLipi just used save and load tactic it's much easier. (true it kills the immersion a bit but I think it's worth it) orc hammer is op for beginning
