Magic is so OP in G3. The basic fireball spell deals more damage than the best weapon in the game you could realistically get(the orcish halberd thingy) with ~500 strength

This whole game is really imbalanced. The effect of better weapons and higher stats is hardly noticeable until you really get it up here. Meanwhile almost nobody in the game has any measure of magic resistance unless they have a specific elemental immunity, and all damage from spells scales with Ancient Knowledge so stronger AOE spells become one-hit kills for scores of enemies at a time once you get the skill to use them.

You can learn the spell from the Water Mages. I don't remember if it's an end-game spell, but I don't think it is. It's more powerful than the flame wave in terms of base damage but it costs a lot more mana and doesn't seem to have quite as large of an AoE. Also, like the flame wave, the Community Patch sets it to erupt on your target instead of on your character, so it's much more useful.

Technically there are three endings: The Beliar, Innos and Xardas/Adanos endings. The reason I made this video is that it is funny to see how the outro cards change depending on what factions still remain by the end and which companions, who would normally be in the outros, are still alive. Really, this is pretty much the same as the ordinary Xardas ending, but since every slide is about how just about everyone in the world is dead and their cultures erased, it is especially hilarious to hear the line "All will be well" at the end... which is why I replaced it :p

there is only one solution to your problem: Fuck G3, return to G1 and G2 NotR. mb check out some community mods made for those games, like Diccuric or L'Hiver, they all have own storylines and reworked graphics.
