Is BULGARIA still cheap in 2024?

We were in Sofia and Plovdiv in May, we found both to be really reasonably priced, especially Sofia, which I cannot rate highly enough, I was very impressed with the city.

It must have been 30 years since i last visited Bulgaria, i went with friends and we camped in the mountains fishing. When we arrived at sunny beach we ended up sheltering under the umbrellas on the beach because it was hail stoning and they where the size of golf balls. I do remember the beer being very strong, i think 12%, i liked it there, probably changed a lot now. Cheers thanks, nice vlog.

I'm from Bulgaria, so I will say that if you want a very good price for a vacation at the sea you must go to the north! The north part of the Bulgarian sea is less a tourist trap and the natural landscape is preserved ;) The prices are half of that of sunny beach, and you can enjoy nature as well ;)

Myself and wife were going to go here a couple of years ago until I read quite a few reviews of I suppose it was more of the younger ones they was talking of to much alcohol and a lot of hows your father in the streets. It's a shame as it does look like a really nice place and cheap as hell to. Maybe we'll reconsider after watching this video

Ivana palace been there twice and rebooked for may 2025 I think it's very reasonable price for what we want away from the strip rooms are clean and staff are great..

I went there in the mid 90’s and it was ridiculously cheap. Not so anymore and sunny beach is unrecognisable now compared to then!

How can you say that 78 lev is decent price for two meals,this is total ripoff for our standarts ,this is the wage for two days for some people here,cause the minimum month payment is 500euros ,if you go into non tourist city ,for example varna or burgas you would pay not more than 30-40 lev for two meals and in the capital even less.....also in the mountain resorts of bansko,borovets,pamporovo etc is litle bit expensive too,you are very cute and natural keep it real and take care.....greetings from the danube river town of vidin north west bulgaria and godbless

You make very good and detailedvideo. All tourist places like Sunny Beach have sky-high prices. Here's just one example: you pay 40 leva for a 5 km distance, while the normal price is around 10 leva. Plus, many of these businesses overcharge foreigners. Bulgaria is a very nice country, but unfortunately, it has very greedy people.

Sunny beach is not Bulgaria it's a hot tourist destination . My wife from varna and I've been going there since ,2005. Bulgaria yes it's getting expensive but compared to other countries it's cheaper . Sunny beach like a Balkan maguluf . Certainly not Bulgaria

It is NOT cheap anymore. In fact, most prices there are now higher than in the UK! The only reason I was going to this country was that it was cheap. Now, I don't see any reason to travel there. The infrastructure is still like 30 years ago, but they ask you to pay Western prices? No thanks! There are much better choices out there, and plus you don't have to deal with the local people that are not very nice, to say the least...

Try an alternative next time. Romanian sea coast, same climate,same fine food slightly different style and better infrastructure. But Black Sea coast is not very cheap as it was before.not even Turkey is cheaper anymore. Not talking about Greece.

@@SycAamore Did you ever visit Romania or you just saying what you heard? The difference between you and me it is that I am travelling in both countries and I do not take the info from the "objective and trustfull" BBC. And yes, the infrastructure in Romania is considerably better.try to drive a car crossing border and you will immediately see. And prices are more or less the same. Resort restaurants around 3 euro and beach bars 4 euro. I do not promote nothing, just try to see outside of typical British stereotypes. For got sake you have been visiting same countries for 50 years😆😆

Bulgaria is amazing . The Oldest sate in Europa ! and charry on Top is only 10% Flat Income tax there !!!!! best in Europa ! You just can't beat Bulgaria !
