How to Raise Gotrek's Special Trait FAST in Total War: Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires
Building the Tap Room (Empire) or the Refectory (Dwarfs) will spawn Gotrek and Felix in that region. Cathay ca also hire Gotrek and Felix but are too far away to effectively maker use of this strategy.

VERY IMPORTANT to make sure vlad doesnt kill gotrek directly. gotrek grants the unbreakable trait so if vlad gets that, nothing short of an LL will kill him.

I dont think a LL lord is the best idea for killing him as empire. Now a dozen volley guns, that might just work

Boggles my mind that they still, after all these years, haven't done anything more with these two absolute legendary characters. They (and Brian Blessed's voice acting) deserves better than to be relegated to a "I'll recruit this in a pinch" type lord.

I see no Reason why the Vampire counts can't recruit Gotrek and Felix. They are pretty much part of the Empire and its not as if they are Evil or anything.

Currently playing a azhag campaign and ran into gotrek outside of Karak kadrin. Got the easy auto resolve to fill out my waagh meter and got the unbreakable trait for azhag. Few turns of starving out the defenders and raiding/ recruiting with my second army and I overran the fortress with minimal effort.

Yeah, you can use chaos dwarf Portal to get there a little easier, but if you don't get it done before turn 30ish the impact of having a super strong Gotrek doesn't really hit that hard, so it's mainly only good for the Lords mentioned.

I'm playing a very long campaign with the empire anti noticed that Gotrek and Felix never appear again after the first time they leave my faction. Someone else had this problem?

I have heard rumors, but I thought others claim they definitely HAD had gotrek return, so I dunno Maybe an intermittent issue?

@@MercytheMad can possibly be a patch 3.1 issue. We are getting a lot of this in those big patches lately. Thanks for the help. I will try max Gotrek as you did with a mod that makes him stay longer.

I noticed after my time expired with Gotrek in my empire campaign Kislev had summoned him shortly after. Maybe another faction currently has him

Probably another faction. I usually get him at least twice in a campaign

I don't know, so it just occurred to me asking... It's possible that they were on the service of one AI faction that got wiped out and gotten wiped out with them? I used the NoFogOfWar mod to check, they just aren't in anywhere. It's turn 234 already the didn't appear a second time in the campaign.

After he reaches max level, is he able to solo any army? His states seems he is invulnerable 😅

He has low armour but he can get hit 90% ward save cap with proper gear and using his cooldown. He can solo early game armies. Late game he is not going to be as impactful.

There is a part in me, which tells me all the time: That XP could have gone to a lord. So I end up in never using Gotrek as main army, but only as the supporting one.

All XP that is earned by Gotrek is shared between your other Lords I believe. So if you have only 1 Legendary Lord + Gotrek Supporting then your Lord earns 150% XP. Which is kinda cool.

I play right now in wh2, for Balthazar, and confederate Stirland on ~145 turn. Aaand get Gotrek and Felix, because Stirland has them. I first time saw that. Interesting, its unlimited, and i get them forever?)

Oh really? There is no time at the top? That's awesome. I guess Vlads is dead in your game but if you have them forever you can just kill them every 5 turns and take your time

Yeah you can equip them however you like.
