You need to do stretches, I had sciatic nerve issues from time to time and doing the stretching has helped alot. Not the same, but maybe it helps decompress the pressure on the spinal discs. Be well.

I hope you can find a great neuro surgeon and have the 2 disc removed. it is a fairly quick surgery, very small incision and very little pain afterwards. Usually within a week or to of rest and very light lifting you are back up and going without pain. Wishing the very best for you. I understand the pain completely and the pain will not go away on its own sorry to say but the surgery has become very routine over the years. I don't know what type of work you did or do but it usually happens from lifting things with your back instead of your legs. or often lifting while bending over. Saw many of these in my job as a Neuro surgical nurse. Take care of it sooner rather than later, Blessings and prayers for you John,

I have that what helps is rub your butt on the side that is effective, it will help. I have it all the time on and off. Lower back is really bad. 😊

When you sit on certain chairs it will trigger the pain. Shoot down your leg the side that effects. It sucks. My whole lower spine shot, 9 herniated disk, narrowing on and on . Don’t want another surgery. Went through that with my neck. Once they fix put hardware in your spine the disk above and below it can go. Plus you better have good insurance the cost is expensive. Recovery takes along time and you better look for the best doctor. ❤ good luck 😊

I found a chiropractor to get my discs back in place. Also acupuncture will help with the pain.
