Thanks so much for this. I'd been trying to figure out how to make Gouging Fire work since it's such a cool Pokémon with gorgeous full artwork, and grass Ogerpon and Hydrapple need a paddlin' and no one really plays Fire (Tera Charizard doesn't count since it's Dark); I'd briefly had a combo going with Charizard (Pokémon Go, 010/078) to speed up Gouging Fire's energy input, coupled with Rescue Boards so I could easily swap between two Gouging Fires. I hadn't thought to use Professor Sada's Vitality to the same degree as you, but that's a fantastic idea, especially with Radiant Greninja or Ultra Balls.

I’m considering playing this at Stuttgart with the new Latias ex that allows free retreat. I went 5-3 with Greninja at Dortmund
