I have accompanied this piece many many times, but never have i heard such a wonderful interpretation as yours. Anthony, your voice is a rare and beautiful gift from our Creator. May you always sing to glorify His name.

The organ and vocals blend together seamlessly. I can imagine the praise given to God in heaven being like this because it is done from the heart. It is a psalm from the depths of the heart and brings tears because of God's great goodness and mercy. This is skillfully performed by a very gifted musician and a very gifted vocalist who are using their talents to glorify God.

This video came up when I Googled "Gounod O, Divine Redeemer," because I will be playing the accompaniment for a Vanderbilt opera student soon. Anthony Leon's performance is a beautiful sermon that left me in tears and prayers of my own. I am sure Charles Gounod would have been moved to tears himself. I know this because I am married to a composer. And I know how emotional it is for him when he hears someone perform his music with the talent and beauty and feeling that Anthony Leon does here. This performance is just sheer perfection. Now I am subscribed to the account and can't wait to hear more. Thank you so much for sharing your gift with all of us!

Keep up the hard work! God’s blessings on you! Your performances bring me joy! You have been blessed with an unusual, beautiful and incredible gift! Most of all you are using it!👌🎶 Continued success! 💖🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Thanks for posting this; it brings back memories. I accompanied my father, a baritone, at the piano who sang this years ago in our LDS sacrament meeting. When we got to the "have mercy" climax at the end, all eyes were on him. Little children in the pews stopped cooing and put down their toys and coloring crayons to look up and listen as a hush washed over the congregation. It was quite a memorable experience. This is such a powerful piece.

Love this so much! Listened to it for about 10 times without stopping. Wonderful tone, diction, and very expressive! At times I heard a bit of a "cry" in your voice. Use that, especially when saying "hear my cry" and "my anguish". You have all the tools, Anthony. Thank you for sharing your gift with all of us!

This is truly one of the very best interpretations of this very challenging gem. I appreciate the nuance, shading, sensitivity, and overall expression, not only on the part of this lyric tenor, but also on the part of the organist.
