Democrats don't think there is infinite money they just believe that paying for school lunches or community college is an investment which will return the money they invested. Republicans do the same thing they believe that spending more on police or tax cuts will return the best investment in the future. Deficits are actually quite bipartisan however Republicans use it as a talking point more. I am not trying to say that either party is right about how much to spend or what to spend on (the answer is probably a mix of both) I am trying to point out that spending isn't what will ruin an economy it is what you choose to spend money on. If you don't believe that school lunches are a societal benefit like fiscal conservatives that is fine but arguing from a spending point of view is either misinformed or disingenuous. I don't mean to attack you or your views I just hope you find this helpful if you talk about the economy again.

OK, a few good strong points. BUT.. There is no such thing as a free lunch. The meal program is also about compassion, but it isn't free. The community college being "free"- it isn't free because we all pay for it. Here is an idea Herhonor: give the teachers in our K-12 programs measurable objectives that prepare the kids for a better launch. Just don't pass it along to the next institution of "higher" learning. Get it right the first time through.

I want to know her position on supporting Texas and the border. She’s a democrats so I don’t see her going against her “masters” but we are a border state. Let’s take the scenario the border standoff works and keeps the ones that actually are trying to cross to harm us. Think about this realisticaly. If they can’t enter thru the south they will attempt to come thru Canada. We are not the only border states attached thru Canada but we have multiple bridges and water all around us. Thinking logically with all the way into our state I would think that this should be a big concern for our state and gov. I hope when the time comes out state gov will support Texas defend their border when the federal gov will not. It has trickle down effects to our own states security as well.

Why should I in Michigan care about migrants coming through the border in Texas? Or Canada for that matter? If they can somehow make it into Canada, how would they make it into the US across Lake Huron or the Detroit river lmao? The Detroit and the Sault river are heavily patrolled by the coast guard. I honestly don't care about the migrants coming into the US. They don't bother me and I don't bother them. If they want to come here for a better life, awesome that's what being American is all about. Even ones who come illegally, get them into the system so they can be citizens and pay taxes.
