Gov. Maura Healey announces 5 Steward hospitals in Massachusetts will be saved from closure

In a press conference on Friday, Gov. Maura Healey said five Steward hospitals will be saved, with the state taking over St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton.

I have a new found respect for Governor Healey for calling out these ‘for profit hospital operators’ and playing hardball. I’ve said for years that the Hospitals are twice as bad as the Insurance companies. Maybe it’s time to have the Nurses and CNAs run these hospitals for a change.

Bmc should’ve bought the carney hospital in dorchester but bmc isn’t too great either Great campus but the staff 70/30 70 percent great the other 30 need to be replaced

She should not have made this deal when the Carney employees, who were the Covid hospitals dedicated staff, are not going to get their own earned time! Everyone knew this was the goal when the Attorney General Maura Healey made the deal with the notorious Del Torre
