I was at this show , it was NYE 1998/99 - they kicked off about 10:00pm (1998) and played on into the New Year morning till about 4:30am - No bullshit. I remember walking out of the Roxy that morning just spent from so much jamming and unbelievable music and musicianship! Wow, what a time! It’s a bittersweet memory though, lost my dad 3 days later - worst experience I’ve ever had. Rest In Peace, Dad - you are missed and loved

Seeing and hearing Little Feat play this live with over a hundred thousand other folks was epic. Lowell George and the “Feats” at the pinnacle of their professional career, and they made The Rolling Stones look and sound second fiddle! RIP Little Feat, thank you for the music you created that will never die! God Bless and keep your souls. This is absolutely the finest next thing. Thanks Warren Haynes and your group of mules...the absolute greatest cover ever!!!

As a 13 year old middle schooler learning blue from my 62 year old grandfather , his friends get tore up and play the fuck out of this. I'm a girl and straight a student and my pawpaw taught me cords for 3 weeks and gave me one of his old Martin's and said sit in a play!!! Says if ya can play blues like Joe bnamassa, Eric trucks, Warren here wit the mule, fuck the rest and jam and never have a worry in the world..

Great, but still prefer the Little Feat version, notably Lowell's vocals are so great.

this version of "spanish moon" has none of the subtlety or the precision of the original, it doesn`t hold a candle to little feat: plus, the drums are too loud and too "straight" and give the whole rhythm a martial, almost militaristic feel: not one of the mule`s highlights, I`m afraid...

ck out Govt mule@theCotton Club '95 about half way thru you'll find this gem. I hope you enjoy... little feat version is too busy for me, with all the great musicians. Warren kept it simple and in your ears...
