Matt Abts is one of the best drummers playing today; one would assume that if he is playing with WH and Gov't Mule he has to be great, at least good. Check out Bad Little Doggie live and studio and then tell me he sucks or that he is sloppy. That was a good one. The guys is a smoking drummer.

Surprisingly,EVERY remake Warren touches is,not only VERY complimentary to the original,but,a tribute to the composer, He doesn't attemptto dazzlewith speed(although he most likely could)but,it's the nuances,the moments of silence that compliment his work.

I agree that Pink Floyd is an amazing band that has continued to stand the test of time, but it always great to hear talented musicians from modern times putting their take on classic songs and doing them amazing justice. Warren is definitely one of the best at that. His versions of "One" and "Wasted Time" are probably some of my favorite versions.

Love all the "this drummer sucks" comments. Mule is a jamband/improv band that does a full tour with different setlist every. single. night. The drummer has to know tons of songs. People are comparing his drumming to a Pink Floyd album. The Floyd drummer had a little advantage, he was in a studio doing 100's of takes. I think Matt more than heald his own and sorry don't get into the Floyd drummer still was betting in concert cause we all know Floyd had a full set of musicians behind the curtain. Not one member of Floyd played entirely on their own.

Read the pink Floyd biographies, they're amazing. Such an amazing band. The writing, themes, concepts, music, guitar work, roger water and david Gilmour pair, Richard wright, omg. They were really the best band of time. The biographies also go pretty in detail about Syd Barrett. I have a "conspiracy theory" that Syd Barrett actually wrote some of the music, I'm not sure tho. I would be amazed if Roger wrote all of that after Syd Barrett was basically the original writing mastermind and Roger Waters just "took over" and happened to be an amazing writer. Waters was an architect. Not saying he couldn't write that, it's just strange. I'm not really convinced of it either but it could be possibleeeeee. People who "disappear" into hiding wind up doing strange things. Conspiracies lel, truth or troll?
