Marco Saldana >>> Not everyone wants to wheel & deal and take chances on a car they can’t even drive before bidding. Nor can everyone DIY on problems they find after they get it home. The extra money I spent at a used dealer was worth every penny for the peace of mind and their willingness to replace the broken ABS computer at no extra charge. Wow, your guess at the sale price of the Ranger so close! I have an '01 model with 172K that's also a 4x4 and it runs well but has lots issues to. I suspect the prices have gone up since more people have found out about public auctions and more people flip cars for profit these days. I did it when I was in my 30's in NJ but now living in GA. forget it! Whatever I have for sale; the bottom feeders show up and offer me half price or less. When I sold my last car on CL this goon had a plan to create a sense of urgency as his ride took off. He wants to wire money into my account; "No way man, I am old and if you don't have $800 for a rust free, 235K miles well maintained car, call your friend back." He acted like he wanted to kick my ass for rejecting his offer. "Look man, I may be old and since I'm old I don't accept a wire transfer unless you want to go to Walmart. We drove to a local bank and he got the money. That's CL for ya! After the deal he said he was gonna flip it for $1500 or more! "I knew it!"
