Government to report on the effects of khat

The government's drug advisors will report on the harmful effects of the drug khat and recommend whether or not it should be made illegal. But the Somali community, where khat is largely used, is split over a ban which would criminalise users.

This is nothing compared to yemenis. At least in Somalia it's only men that eat and actually it is reducing while in Yemen everyone eats including women and children. Khat came to us from Yemen where a lot of Northern Somalis lived in Aden for centuries due to trade so they picked up Yemeni Khat chewing culture. Khat is new to the southern part of Somalia and Northern Kenya

It is so powerful, lazing, time consuming and uninspiring, they havent even came up wiith cool ways to prepare it, concentrate it, smoothies, slushies, teas, vape fluid, dip a cig, bongs, brow raising brownies, doober rolled in zigzag, add it to guacamole... It is obviously so bell ringing (buzzing) where normal reality is accented and you get a rush from talking, or even staring. It takes your ultra precious time as one human, that was once an infant, with every step in learning, achieving the deeper potential to understand your surroundings, prepare for a future, make some true progress, and takes the biologial heirloom gift of brain power we posess over a primate, to a near-boiling simmer, in a marinade of low oxygen, micro bursts of dopamine and endorphine. After the first buzz, you are just gutting every last synapse and zooming in on every little perk because it reminds you of the original buzz, as your brain does strange, random things, as it decays. Pointing fingers at those who attempt to make you feel a crumb of shame for what you are doing, make you weild a shield, against your own regret. There will be a painful, angry time as your brain learns to balance itself, chemically, but after two weeks you will be distracted and woefully aimed to making up for lost time, and money. Or keep doing it untill you health or sanity is irreversably breeched, to the point of no return. Time flys.

Excuse me! These people saying they will starve, is nonsense. The reason they will be so affected by a ban, is because they decided to remove their farmland, in replace of Khat. Khat takes 5 times more water to grow, than food. Replace Khat farms with livestock, fruits and vegetables and get off that drug. This is their own doing.
