It is always amazing to me the technology and space travel that giant bugs and reptiles can create with no fingers and the constant need to eat animal flesh. I realized the other day while watching another sci-fi recap that when you land on a planet with flesh eating creatures shouldn't there be lots of smaller creatures that the main ones normally eat? But the big ones are the only life to be found.

IIRC, the Aliens didn't arrive on space Shuttles, but on meteors. They escaped the destruction of their home-planet, presumabely by hitch-hiking a ride to earth with debris from their home Planet. It is highly likely their home Planethad a similair atmosphere to earth and similair sized-prey.

An error, maybe. A massive error? No. I get the complaints but enjoying a movie isn’t that hard. Previous to that, the aliens were at the dock and shore watching the ship leave. It’s not like they were oblivious to the fact there was water around somewhere. Also they’re aliens, I’m sure they had something to identify there was water? It might not make sense but it’s not a big deal by any means, I’d say there are bigger plot holes in the movies.

The aliens guide themselves with a form of echolocation. With echolocation different surfaces or objects appear different. They knew to stop at the end of the pier because the ground/concrete was an solid object to walk on vs water. If you watch the other quiet place movies. The aliens don’t have a problem with water “persay”. They can walk in shallow water but can’t swim in deep.

I have a few problems with this movie, first being that this is a story that no one asked to be told after the two first movies (there was a lot more others possible), the writing is quit poor, some weird decisions have been made for the Angels, like making them eat humans since so far they were supposed to be a being that does not require eating, (or as confirmed by the director, only eat a form of alien plant that came on their asteroid, which make them even more scary as they kill by pure savagery and endlessly) meaning their arrival on a world means the end of this world no matter how long you hide. Also the fact that the aliens cannot swim is completely made up, and put the other movies into a much less interesting scale. A movie that no one asked and conflict with the others unfortunately
