Affordable housing thats the problem with the neighborhood already

No it's lack of investment in the people in the area. When the poorest who haven't been invested in congregate in the poorest part of ABQ you get the warzone. The governor is making that investment

Not good. That area will become even more congested and run down.

You realize you live in a city right? Cities grow, expand, and densify. Especially near the center. Rural areas don't really change though. The investments are needed and could completely transform the area and surrounding areas with new developments for the better. Half the city looks like a time machine back to the 60s and 70s and not in a good way

She and Keller let this area get so bad that even Wal-Mart and Walgreens want nothing to do with it. Her contractor friends get paid a lot for all the pet projects

And the funniest thing is someone made a makeshift "grocery" store like that would solve anything lol

Like I don't even know what they plan to do like build another thing so it can also be shoplifted to oblivion

To be fair the war zone has was already a thing long before she took office. Those stores that closed were only bound to close. She and keller is the first to make major investments in the area that have already come to fruition. This new project is another step to revitalize this entire area of town. This part of town is a time machine back to the 60s and 70s and not in a good way.

@@WELVAS. There's even copper theft in areas where it's not even the warzone so how the hell they expect to keep anything there and hell "This part of town is a time machine back to the 60s and 70s and not in a good way." Then better do the same thing to Old Town lmfao

@@WELVAS. Both stores closed because of theft. Theft was allowed under Keller and Grisham

Most this city is from the 60s and 70s, it wouldn't be the worst thing
@MrLuffy91317 сағат бұрын
@@WELVAS. It's not that, it's just that Walmart and Walgreens moved out and they expect to put a "high tech" area so it can be ransacked also? Or maybe because of the fence it will keep people out

Why not build new buildings
@WELVAS.7 сағат бұрын
I think a brand new multivenue stadium would be best. A lot of events skip over ABQ because we don't have a large facility venue meeting capacity. That along with a lot of higher density residential buildings would the meet housing demand

Great idea. It is one of the obstacles keeping the International District from turning the corner.
