Picking up from where we left off (where else would you pick up from?) I'm endeavoring to complete my minor shunting route at some point before the end of time. This would be made simpler if the automatic setting of points/switches were in any way consistent. They're not consistent. This is Train Sim World 2020 on the Peninsula Corridor.

EOTD is "End of Train Device" it is a lighted marker (the red flashing light) and pressure regulator for the train bake system's air hoses. When you "open" the EOTD, you release the pressure on the lines and set the brakes.

Since you miss the ‘out of the window view’ from the old train simulator, you can gain the ‘out of the window view’ by using the left and right arrow keys when sat in the drivers chair 😉 (I also just found this out myself because they don’t seem to advertise this)! All the same, love your channel and have for years!

I'm sure there's a way/knob to change what should be the lead loco. If you look at the upper right knob in the upper panel at the rear of cab. (at timestamp 35:15 in the vid) Keep the funny and good vids comming. Love it.

That knob is to change the headlight configuration it has nothing to do with the controlling unit.

Shouldn't he take the handle from the reverser and take it to the other loco? Also I'm pretty sure he was allowed to seat in the second cabin, the prompt flashes there for a few milliseconds but the Colonel misses it, as is classic.

I wish that, for these types of shunting ops (if not this one especially), that it allowed for more freedom. Like, in the CSX Heavy Haul scenarios, there're 2 scenarios (forming steel, and err, another) where you have to collect up a bunch of groups of cars/engines into a single train. Sadly, you can't just grab a bunch, grab another bunch, and then couple to the final train, even if they'd be in the exact same order as when you do it the way they want (go here, couple, go here, couple, decouple, repeat).

I blame the Colonel for getting me wanting to reinstall TSW. My net is shoddy at best of times but is way down to about 200kb/s right now. Only wanted some US stuff so installed base and the NEC DLC, ignoring my owned Somerset, GWR and Rapid Transit. Thing is, game crashes when I choose a module to play ingame. Can't even goto the website ingame, just tinker on the Options screen. PC should be all up to date and ship shape, and other UE4 games are fine, just TSW. Reinstalling just the CSX module right now, nothing else. Should take 9 hours + for 4.4gb if I watch videos at the same time. Heh. Anyone else having a UE crash to desktop issue on selecting which module to play? If CSX doesn't work on its own I'll have to install all my other DLC, at least I can try it out in a few days time.

Ah, that's what they don't tell you. It's not like RailWorks, it's either all or nothing because GWR, CSX, Rapid Transit, and NEC are all parts of the base game.

@@MrHnnnnnnnnng I did consider that. I got the game when it was in EA so I got GWR and Rapid Transit incrementally, but those three made up the base 1.0 package, right? I'm reinstalling JUST the CSX for now, but I think its gotta be all or nothing.

@@KashouWannabe It's definitely all or nothing, I've never driven rapid transit for any amount of time because of the absolutely shit antialiasing making it impossible to read the SIFA and PZB and it outright refused to start. I think they literally mix and match a lot of the assets.

@Zuri Win 8. 1 GTX 970 4GB, i7 4790k 4ghz, 16GB DDR3 ram, about 90 hours in it and used to run the game at a high/ultra hybrid at 1080p. As stated here, its probably a case that GWR and RT have become integral parts of the base game now. I'll just have to bite the bullet and get it downloaded over the next few days.

TS and TSW have different scoring systems. TS starts with points and deducts for infractions like speeding and tardiness at objectives like stopping at a station. TS also gets pretty particular about the location where a stop is made. If you're really close to the scheduled time TS might give a few hundred points back at a stop. You might end up deep in the hole by the time you finish an assignment. I haven't seen TSW deduct points. It merely withholds points for things like speeding or missing the scheduled stop times. It will stop/fail a scenario promptly for things like derailing or passing a red signal.

This is what the second seat is for in a train, the conductor does all the unhooking and manipulating...of course in TSW the one time you need a conductor you don't have one. All the rest of the time you have this idiot staring at you while you drive the train. Now take them all back to SFS LOL I almost fell out of my chair laughing. You appear to have missed.
