Hello GP We took your advice on the B2601, and after 150 hours, have been amazed at what this little tractor can do. We ordered the 5 inch wood chipper from Farmer Equipment yesterday, and can't wait to play with it. We really enjoy your videos. We will keep our Husqvarna Rancher 455 for cutting our year's firewood, but can see that chainsaw in our future for everything else. Thanks, and all the best , Ben from Nova Scotia P.S Thanks for the hat , I love it.

That's great to hear Ben! Very happy it is working out. Hope you enjoy the chipper! If you didn't tell Kevin it was for a B2601 then perhaps give him a call to confirm he is putting a Grade 2 Shear bolt on it for you. Most implements are shipped with a grade 5 bolt which is far too strong for the B's driveline. You're welcome and all the best!

Battery saws have come a long way Gord. I used my “wife’s” battery husqvarna all weekend,it worked great trees up to 8” in diameter. Very easy to take into field for quick cuts. Still for larger trees and limbing...I will use my new stihl or my dads 40 year old all metal stihl...it’s a tank, about as heavy as one too.

Nice saw! Looks like these battery saws are improving. I got a Milwaukee Saw after your video last year. I choose that one because I already had those tools and the batteries match. That saw has become the one I use 80% of the time compared to my gas saws. It's just so practical. I wonder if that new Oregon chain designed for battery saws fits on other brand models.

I never heard of such a thing GP. But the difference in the saws are audible. Little or no change in sound with the Nano chain. To me it seems to put less of a load on the motor and would possibly extend battery life. That’d be nice to see as you run it all the way down. Great info once again.

I love your videos, and look forward to each new one. That looks like it's going to be a great product. Let's hope it will be available as a replacement chain for other saws. I do have one little nit to pick though. As a native Oregonian, it's like listening to fingernails on a chalk board every time you mispronounce Oregon. All of the emphasis should be on the first syllable, and the third syllable is pronounced "gun," with no emphasis.

I have the Dewalt 16 (40 amp) and 12 inch (20 amp) electric versions. I took out a few 60 foot tall ceder trees with that Dewalt 16" electric saw. It wasn't easy down near the base where the trees were probably 3 feet in diameter, I had to cut it from both sides, but it worked perfectly fine and made me some nice firewood. Side note, you pronounce "Oregon" improperly (like people on the east coast of the usa), its not "or-eee-gone" but actually pronounced "Or-eh-gun"

Very nice. It would have been nice to see a bit of a close up of the teeth profiles to see what they have done. I'm actually considering a battery chainsaw as they are a lot easier to start than petrol ones. 1 thing that does annoy me about them is the noise. They are a lot quieter than a 2 stroke obviously but they still make a helluva lot of mechanical noise.

The older chainsaw stalled out cutting and then had to be started again. Does stalling regularly happen with this chainsaw? Meanwhile the new chainsaw does not stall. My Ego chainsaw regularly stalls when cutting into bigger pieces of timber. It’s annoying. It has a 16 inch bar. I’d like to get a bigger chainsaw but am worried the bigger Ego will have the same issue.
@GPOutdoors
@GPOutdoors 3 жыл бұрын
Good morning Karl. Me too - usually when cutting into bigger stuff as well but i know that it may be largely because I may be forcing it too fast into the wood ( I think). Often, it is because my thumb slips off the lock button as i am pivoting the saw.

Hey good evening Terry. I have not found that with the 300 - I clean it each time I use it, like my other saws.
