Gord I went and helped a friend again in Markham. I had to plow the Freshco 3 times and it was still snowing when I left. After a night like that I remember why I quit, the stress is through the roof. I hit an island that was covered in snow, thankfully I drive really slow. Your kind of snowplowing looks like fun, daytime and it gets done when it gets done. I'm surprised only one of the snowmobilers waved to you, I would have thought they all would have shown you some appreciation.

💥 Hey Kubota crew, I left a comment on your Facebook post as well but you gotta try spray on car wax to keep snow from sticking to the blower. It works better than anything else I’ve used. I think you’d be pleased. I use spray on turtle wax. The ceramic spray on turtle wax stuff is even better. *Keep on tractoring!*

I sopos you feel real guilty having a heated cab and your friends out braving the cold and snow. I sure wish I had one too. We never did get any snow in Ohio worth plowing. This year sofar a total bust for the snowplow guys and nothing for the homeowner to play in either. I enjoy watching you guys play in the snow. That's a powerful trio of blowers, the "storm" never would have stood a chance even if it was indeed a "storm". Funny how news look at completely normal snowfalls these days and act as if we're doomed, the hour arriveth and we barely get enough to put load on the engines 😂 I remember the late 80's, 90's and early 00's at the farm I grew up we easily had banks taller than our tractor, just life as normal, it's when we don't get snow that something has gone awry! Of bigger concern is that stump, about croaked when you hit that, luckily spare sheer bolts were at hand, it's why I mark stumps & rocks, just in case. Was unaware the frontmounts didn't have top-link, explains why the pack on your road builds up so fast.

Gordon I have cruise control and love it especially when brush hogging. I also have an anti-stall function on my Grand L3240. So when the motor starts to bog down it automatically slows my ground speed down then it will speed back up accordingly. Love that feature. Don't have to much fun out there. Stay safe. I’m the only one with the tractor and I do my neighbors shorter driveway. At times I have spectators, so far haven’t broke a shear pin, but have them in my cab. Thanks for the explanations and the different designs.

I have hydraulic down and there are threaded holes to store spare shear bolts. Thats from memory because I have not put it on for 5 years. Front mounted blade has done fine. If I had your snow you can bet my blower would be on.

You couldn’t ask for better neighbours, Gord, and I’m sure they feel the same about you. It’s interesting that Guy’s front blower has an adjustable top link - I have not seen that before! Having a top link is one of the (few) advantages of a rear mount snowblower, and it’s even more advantageous with a hydraulic top link, which I added to my tractor. Not only is it helpful to adjust the cutting edge for snow conditions, but it is also extremely useful being able to adjust the angle of attack at the base and over the top of hills - which both my home and remote property driveways have! Tell your buddy to put his ROPS up for Safety. Driving in that terrain and not being able to see the ground can lead to a turn over. I noticed it was up later in video so one of y’all helped him out. Good content, however, in Texas, I won’t need to invest in a snow blower. Could use a limestone blower! 😂

Looked like an excellent day Gord, and congrats on your neighbors new LX. If I remember correctly there was an option for the larger "shoes", but it means you give up the option of a mid-mount mower due to fitment. Also, that was a beautiful trout...was Bob ice fishing? You do know that you are the only person on earth that has forgot to replenish the shear pins/bolts that they had to use on the trail that day don't you?? LOL... Sure was lucky Guy happened to have one that fit your blower. Maybe a double sack of bolts so you'll have a spare bag in case that ever happens again. AND COFFEE at the end of the day is always a blessing too . I am glad you got some good wet snow and it wasn't a horrible storm along with it. Hi Gord, when you have a snow base you can remove the skid shoes. This way you’ll always get down to base. If not the base keeps getting higher and higher by the distance between the shoes and the bottom of blower.Also removing the shoes, it is easier to manoeuvre the blower when turning as the shoes are not there to “pull” you out of your turn.

Good day Gerry! I have heard that before but have never tried it. But perhaps I should give it a try - you think it should work ok on gravel driveways as well? or will it be more apt to dig down enough to hit gravel?

@@GPOutdoors absolutely it works on gravel driveway/roads. My private driveway and road is 800 meters long, all gravel. In the beginning of snow season I have the skids on so it rides on the gravel and gives that inch or two of a snow coverage over the gravel. When you drive over it with cars etc it packs down creating a hard snow base. When that base is there, remove the skid shoes and the blower skims along the hardened snow base.

Hi Gord. I thought the 'SU' on the LS2610SU indicated that it came without a mid mount PTO. Obviously he has one because he has a front mounted snowblower. I learned about the 'SU' from watching the 'Messicks' KZbin channel.

I love to plow snow after a storm but having it fairly calm and sunny is frosting. I am confused as to why you don't drop the back blade while going forward to "windrow" the leftover snow... which seem to be quite a bit judging by the tracks being left after blowing.

Hello from North Norway ;-) Why do you push the snowblower? It is much better to drag it behind the tractor! My job is to drive a tractor with a snowblower, and I have tried both. In the company where I work, we have tractors with snow blowers at the front, they are only used to open roads when there has been more than 1.5 meters of snow. These tractors have snowblowers at the back too!

Hey hello and thanks for watching all the way from Norway! Yes, we have a few manufacturers of rear mounted inverted blowers however they are really really expensive here. You probably know these number or have them written down. What is the total length with a loader on? Total length with a grapple on? Total length with your snow blower and rear blade?
