Just wanted to say to you. I've been binge watching your channel for months now. I can't recall another person that seems so humble in his humility and thoughtfulness in your videos. You sir are the real deal, my gratitude for all you have done with your excellent and informative videos has lead me to purchase the exact tractor you have. I thank you. The misses thanks you for all the work I've done for her and lastly, my back thanks you. Again, you are an inspiration to listen to and learn from. Take care, from Washington state.

Good morning and thanks so very kindly for the words this morning Dave. And for the support! You just made my day! LOL. Hope you are happy with the tractor - it is kind of funny, how quickly the to-do list grows once you get it. :)) Mine too. I just have to get back at finishing those trails in the forest I promised her. So much left to do. But I will get it done for sure. Thanks again - all the best to you and your family!

I was looking at the Land Pride PF20 clamp-ons. Seemed handy to have some forks, and keep my bucket functionality for multi-tasking a chore. Not being able to see what I'm picking up kills it. Embarrassingly obvious, but I din't consider it until you mentioned it. Thanks!

Just found your channel. I learned from some other tractor owner friends, that pallet forks weren’t a “maybe”, they are a “MUST”, right out of the gate! So, when I purchased MY tractor, it was loader, grapple AND, QA pallet forks!! One of my friends started with clamp ons and soon went to the QA as well. The clamp ons were a hand me down from his friend so it served more so to convince him of the value of QA. Now, as you note, if you have a bolt on bucket, you may not have the choice but, if you do have QA, bite the bullet and just go full frame independent QA forks. The uses for them are surprisingly too many to list! Great assessment of yours…I’m looking forward to checking out some more of your episodes!! Thanks for sharing!!

Great explanation and rationale for you choice of pallet forks, GP! My forks were acquired a bit differently... Like you I research everything, make tables and spreadsheets, watch videos... if there’s info out there, I try to find it. After countless hours of research for almost a year, last summer (as you know), I ordered the L4060 with loader, backhoe, brush hog, rear blade, and grapple - all Kubota, except for the grapple (HLA). The salesman asked if I’d like to add pallet forks... suggested Walco 2000 lb - decent design at a good price and in stock. No, said I... don’t really see that I need them. A few weeks later, the truck/trailer arrived at my driveway with everything, but with a set of pallet forks mounted to the tractor. I asked the driver, Joe, why he brought forks, since I didn’t order them. He said that was to help him unload everything and he’d take them back with him. I then watched him put those forks to use as he handily unload all the attachments, placing things where I wanted in the yard. As he was finishing up, I realized that every time I’d want to move any of those attachments around, I’d either have to mount it to the tractor or fuss with straps or chains. He was about to drop the forks back onto the trailer when I mentioned how handy those darn forks were. Yep, he said.... sure are! After a pause, he added “Those are new forks right out of stock... I could just leave them here and you could settle up with Shawn (the sales guy) later”. Needless to say, the forks never went back on the trailer. Realizing I’d been had by one of the most clever unspoken “sales job” I’d ever seen, and to ME - a guy who NEVER buys something of that dollar value spontaneously, I asked Joe as he was leaving how many pallet forks they sold that way. He fired up the truck, said “oh... about 7 out of 10 times I bring them with a kit like yours”. He winked a drove away. And not once have I regretted it!

GP, love your channel ive been watching it since I started researching tractors about 20 months ago. It was a huge factor in the purchase of my tractor last year. I too got a B2601! No regrets so far had it for 16 months. I sprung for backhoe, box blade, post hole digger, grapple and these exact pallet forks! I honestly use the pallet forks way more then I ever thought. You provide a wealth of information and rational discussion. Keep Doing what your doing!

I even used them to removed a big maple tree stump !!! They will be very useful also for moving big rocks and your lumber for your new barn for sure !!! Good afternoon Gord, great job on the Land Pride Pallet Forks. You did a great job researching just what you wanted. Glad you got them, it’s much better having a separate set than the clamp on type. Seems everyone is so proud of how much their tractor can lift but go blank about the lifting capacity and capability of the clamp on forks and then blame it on everyone else !! I believe it was in the instructions?? You covered everything really good, be safe out there and remember (ICE IS OUT GONE FISHING) 😉👍👍🍻

Good video comparing the two types of pallet forks. My first ones were the clamp on to the FEL. I quickly found out trying to keep them on and straight was a problem even tightening them down as much as I could. The second thing is the thickness of the tines which are thicker than the QA forks and the third naturally is the potential damage to the bucket. I bought a QA set of forks and there is none of the problems I had with the other set except the visibility of the tips of the forks sitting in the seat. Standing i can see them. I use mine quite often and is one of the best additional implements I have for my B2650. All the best.

Hi Gord. I had to laugh at the B2601 outline that mother nature left. Sort of like a dead body chalk outline. Lol Like many have mentioned, the SSQA forks are indispensable. I built some in the fall using 2x4 steel channels and the SSQA bracket. I have been using the forks every week this winter to bring my wood box from the wood shed to the house. I also used the forks with my logs to cut them up off the ground.

Excellent video Gord . Buying from the US can be more expensive and a big pain sometimes . Servicing equipment can become almost impossible . It's like buying a boat or what ever where you live but using it practically the whole time at the cottage . If you have a problem a dealer in your cottage area is not going to put you in the fast lane to help you out . People who bought from him will come first for service . You made a great choice in pallet forks . 1200 ib capacity is good enough for what you have . That extended cage would have sold me on those forks along . I have driven a fork lift many times on my job and the extended cage can be a life saver. Nothing beats a fork lift tractor when lifting things. They can turn a 90 degree angle corner like nothing . LOL At least now you don't have to ratchet your bucket and don't have to worry about that smiley face . The shorter forks are a good pick . Don't know how many times I've seen guys drive the forks into the side of a building because they didn't adjust for the length of the forks . Longer forks though are great for unloading items from a truck trailer . Take care .

Hi Gord, I really enjoyed this video on pallet forks. I think they are a “Must have” implement for anyone with a tractor. You brought up some valid points on the clamp on vs. the quick attach and also on the use of pallet forks in general. I use pallet forks at work quite a bit with the Bobcat tractor and I would love to have a set of my own for use here at the hacienda with my own Kubota. They are next on my list of things to get for my L3901:)!

Hey GP!! I just got a set of pallet forks when I bought my chipper. I chose to go with a heavier duty set than you have, because I thought they would be easier to sell, or easier to keep if I ever upgrade to an even larger tractor! Or maybe a friend (like Guy) would want to borrow them who has a larger tractor or skidsteer. Because I bought them with the chipper, shipping cost was the same. Great job doing your research! You will love them, I already love mine. The no visibility issue was the main reason I didn't like the clamp on forks but for some folks, that is the best option. Glad to see the lake is open! Appreciate your review of pallet forks. I got mine when I bought the tractor. Great investment. Mine were made by HLA and are made right here in Ontario. Hear you about driving over uneven ground. Had a few ops moments moving full pallets of firewood around. I have even purchased an adaptor from Worksaver to mount the forks onto the 3 point hitch. Much more stable and gives me a higher lifting capacity for moving pallets full of firewood.

Was the same as you, that the extra height of the forks are important and have save the load coming over the forks several times especially when moving logs. Won’t have a set without the high back. Those look nice and you will find yourself using them a lot. Great video

Thanks Bob! Appreciate the comments - I think so too. I noticed all the 2,000 lb capacity forks (or most) also had a high back on them so I figured it was pretty important. Take good care and all the best!

Good move, GP. You've already seen how versatile forks are so a wise choice made. Land Pride has some excellent implements. As said, I want my implements to last as long or longer than my tractor. Full-watch and enjoyed the well-done presentation. Have a fine week.

Luckily I'm fortunate enough to have both a larger utility tractor (Kubota M9540) as well as a B2650, and as I've gotten older I've really learned to appreciate having hydraulics to help me keep up with the younger version of myself. Both loaders are set up with the quick-attach and over the past several years I've found that I use my loader mounted crane attachment even more than I use the pallet forks.

Hey good morning TK! I have never heard of a crane attachment - that sounds pretty creative. I will take a look into them over a coffee to see what they are etc. some time. Hope you are doing well - have a great week!

Hi GP! I bought the same ones with my B2650 and they stay on my FEL most of the time. Fun fact, you can fit a shackle (1/2” I believe) in the holes along the top of the guard. I use them w/ rigging straps for a more secure fit that ratchets, or even to do light lifting.

That's a nice looking set of forks, but i smile when I see how many stickers LARKIN has plastered all over that attachment; they don't want you to forget who made these , do they? hahaha I was 'in the same boat' as you were when I bought my Kioti tractor,..I sure do need a set of forks, they are, now, one of the most used attachments I use . You'll enjoy having those,..money well spent I think!

Great discussion of your decision making. I went through the same process last summer and ended up making the same decision (Landpride PF1242) for my BX23s. I find that I use the pallet forks about half the time. Actually, just used them last week to transplant two 20 foot trees.

A hole near the end of each fork is useful for putting a pin to prevent chain from slipping off. The top of the pin will fit in a ball hitch of a trailer to position a trailer.

Hi GP, Wise decision that you made getting a regular set of pallet forks. My guess is that they will be on the tractor 75% of the time. I've used clamp on ones before. They are good in a pinch, but they won't compare to having a regular set. I like the Land Pride set that you got. I'm guessing that being lighter, they are made from high tensile steel, stronger and less weight. Not an issue on a big machine, but with your Kubota, definitely something to consider! FYI, I finally got around to ordering some GP Outdoors coffee mugs! Perfect for watching your videos! Cheers, Stay Safe!

You'll be happy with your decision to get a set of forks, a big step up from the clamp on style. I drilled a hole at the front of my forks to accept a trailer ball. It's a great way to move equipment around. Roger must have had a few extra stickers. They're are good people to deal with.
