Will the factory GPS antennae work with the Gen 5? I have to one that came with the radio hooked up, but it gets horrible signal.

Hello gen 5 T Style 2017 Ram i did the gps update it all took just the video. sorry to say my gps dose not work. it bshows i have signal. but when i open navigation just a blank screen with a blue dot. i had gps navigation before i upgraded to a linkswell. Any insight would be helpful please. as my stero shop i bought it from dont know either.

If you didn’t pay for the IGO then you are probably using Google Maps and Google Maps needs WiFi to work.

I receive the "no GPS Singal" when I'm using the Waze app.

Yes, I just double checked I use my phone as a hotspot for the internet and WIFI is turned on when I use Waze. Still showing "no GPS Signal"

We did the 2 step process to get the GPS to work, it was all good until it still shows us the "Seaching for GPS signal" still. Please contact us about this. We have been to the place we bought the radio 3 times. It's not working,

Ive emailed but havent received anything back. On my gen 4 in my f150 is it standard for the radio to not work when connected to AA?

Didn’t get an email. What email did you send it to. You won’t be able to run Android Auto and the AM/FM radio because the radios are Android Tablets. So just like on your phone you can only have 1 audio app open and working at a time, in our radios the AM/FM and the Android Auto are both considered audio apps. So when one opens it takes over the other.

@LinksWellInc torque pro, you can't connect through the app I believe, have to go through the device itself first.

Hi Jonathan I have the Gen 5, I did the GPS update with the phonelink and lucky the download went well. I received the GPS Module download was successful message and then rebooted the system. Unfortunately, the GPS still displays "Searching for GPS Signal." Also I have my GPS antenna mounted at the rear of my jeep on the rooftop.

​@@LinksWellInc I did the same thing. Even took the antenna out and now I just have it sitting on dashboard. I bought an aftermarket antenna as well, thinking maybe I got a faulty one. No luck.....

No. If your IGO is missing the license file that means it wasn’t purchased. You would need to pay for the license key to get it to work. This is to fix the issue of the radio isn’t locking onto satellites.

@@tgaitan1630 got it. Yes so We are waiting on IGO to fix their update tool. We have sent radios and been going back and forth with them for a while. There is something wrong with their update tool and how it works on our radio so we are waiting on them to figure that out.

i have a gen 4 and my GPs doesnt work at all. I love the device it is awesome, but when i go to actually use the gps it does not calibrate. it gives directions but freezes after that i also bought the IGo and it doesnt work at all...

@LinksWell Inc. shoot.... so I have Verizon orbic speed portable hot spot device. Will I only be able to connect to 2.4? I have my other vehicle devices on the 5g. If not, is there a newer chip, or am I just going to have to use the slower speeds?

@@seanszpila8175 so honestly you won’t notice much of a speed change honestly. There wasn’t a 5G Automotive grade chip available on the market until this past year. If you have a Gen 5 it does have a dual band chip with 5G, but if it’s not seeing it my guess is it’s Gen 4 only they only have a 2.4. No way to replace the chip it’s all part of the core board.

Gen 4 didn’t have an issue with GPS.

@@LinksWellInc mine does. only works with android auto. All app permissions are enabled and worked fine for first six months. asked for help on the website and was told to use AA. Constant issues now.

Do you have a gen 5 unit or gen 4? I have a gen 5 and I am able to make and receive whatsapp calls easily
