GPT-4's Conversational Speech Capabilities are INCREDIBLE!

The gpt4o voice and video capabilities aren’t enabled yet. That’s the old gpt4 voice lol. The only thing that’s been enabled is the gpt 4o text option. Also when you have 4o selected and you ask it what version it’s using it will tell you it’s still using 4. The only thing that’s really working is the web version gpt4o

😅 I can see you are 100% correct. I spend all day using the web version so I was unfamiliar with the headphones option on mobile. When I say that the 4o model was released on desktop I assumed wrongly that this was part of the update and that I was still waiting on the rest of the features to roll out. I feel silly, still, learning is part of the process and I absolutely appreciate your insight! Making this unlisted till the actual NEW features come out. Thanks! 🙌

When GPT-4o does come to voice, if you rerecord a convo, you should try it without cuts so viewers can see the actual delay in the response time. This conversation mode is pretty sweet, but the one issue I have is that if you pause in the middle of your response to think of how to word something, it will assume your done speaking and interrupt you. Alternatively, you can use the other voice dictation option which allows you to choose when you're done speaking, and then you can play back GPT's responses whenever, but I've noticed the the playback frequently gets cut short. Would love it if you brought up these limitations too.

All the voices will reply the same way, it's simply elevenlabs reading the chat gpt-4o responses as it writes them 👍

Between each phrase you can see a video splice! Why is each phrase recorded in a separate take?

The video splice is simply to make a concise video, it wasn't to "trick" anyone. I wrongly assumed that I had the new update because I am unfamiliar with the app version and didn't realize that it was an older feature. I can see that it is now.

How is it that you don’t know that openai has not yet opened access to 4o voice? 😂 What you are showing is a fairly old version of the voice assistant.

Quite simple my friend! The same way any person doesn't know something, it is because they lack complete knowledge. My goal is to keep learning, not to say I know it all. In this case I do not use the mobile version of chat gpt, so, when I saw the update and looked on my phone, I wrongly assumed this was the new feature because of something I read online. Anyway, I've learned and now know a lot more than I did yesterday! 😂 Are you excited for the new updates?

They haven't released the voice version of the new model yet lol this is still the old voice interface.

@@RealityCheckVR This is the voice assistant that’s been available for a long time. I’ve used it a bunch and if you’re impressed by this, you’ll really be impressed when the new version comes out in a couple weeks. The current version is slow and laggy, but it’s still fun and it’s still a quick way to get an answer to a question without having to type in the question and read the response.
