a 3090 is generally always in the bottom 25% in terms of effiecency. Unless your power is free you should always aim for efficiency@@ramblr5900

Yesssss!!!!. Finally!!!! A real miner buys a 40 series. Ive had my 2- 4090s for about a year. They are the best cards out of ALL my 30 series, by a long shot. Efficiency kings. Haters gonna hate the 40 series.

Love the look of those founders cards but 2 thousand bucks to mine 2 bucks a day - I think I'll skip.

These have known issues. One of the biggest known issue is the snapping and breaking of the board. The section of connects that plugs into the the pcie slot snaps and cracks from the weight of these cards. He is using the founders... which is a little better on the weight. Heads up... be ready to support these where needed.

it's crazy how low the memory temps stay. my 3070ti mining kawpow at 75% fanspeed @ 1080core and +1250 on the memory makes it go to 94c while pulling about 210-230 watts

NVIDIA figured out how to cool GDDR6X for sure. I think the 3090 Ti was the first GPU they got it right on.

Most power supplies comnes with 2x 6x2pin connectors per 8pin. So the GPU can ask for 300w from a 288w cable.

PCI-e connector on morherboard take 75W i think. So the margin is 62W + 75W = 137W.

awesome GPU. I can play games and still mine, but when its just going to mine I am getting, on kawpow, 71MH/s at 373W giving me 192kh/W. This card is HUGE but oh so cool!

The 4090 is a HUGE card and physics are a real thing. Mount your card vertically, that will save your motherboard's slot from breaking off or the 4090's pcb from cracking from it's own weight and will help with the power connector staying in place. I use 3/4 eight pin connections to adapter for the psu. You'll save 25% power and might lose 5% performance. Clearly the 4090 draws too much power to the connector's tolerance since 4070ti's that have the same connector don't have anywhere near the the rate of melting that the 4090 does. Sadly, it will probably take a class action lawsuit to get Nvidia to own up to that.
