By far the best Jim Carrey parody from In Living Color! This shows why he became a star and Wayans brothers gave him his start.

I will never forget this episode, my close friend was pregnant and like a week over due, and she went into labor laughing at this. We really thought it was Vanilla Ice at first, because it came on just like it does when real R&B artist use to perform on the show. Classic stuff.

@@nursemendoza4413 No at being a SMART person. I worked in radio back then and I’ll tell you a few things. 1. He sold 15 Million copies of the album 2. The single “Ice ice baby also sold at least a million. 3. He was so hot he had concerts and appearances booked out for at least a year. ( some say YEARS) Each of those dates had a “booking fee” attached to it and that fee was paid to Ice and was non-refundable. So all that money came in handy when it all came crashing down. He was able to walk away without ever having to work again. Now he has kept trying to hit musically with not much success…But he didn’t waste his money on it. Time passed and he branched out into other areas. Then popularity came back and people wanted to see him again, so he is still making money from the silly little rap song he did. He managed his money, he was married to the same woman for about 20 years. They divorced a couple of years ago. His net worth is estimated at 12 million. Again not bad for a one hit wonder. That is why I say SMART. So many others have had more and now have less. Most one hit types have nothing. He is a multi-millionaire,father to two young ladies. Edit: I don’t know who managed him. Because I don’t think a 22 year old kid knew how to take advantage of all he took advantage of (including the bomb movie “Cool As Ice). Whoever the person was, Ice listened to him and that fact has made his life what it is today.

I did something like this when my class was forced to Line Dance to country, back in the 90's. After seeing this skit, I rigged my boot so it flew off at the beginning of the event and continued the rest of the class dance bootless in protest. I also had a hat so large my head disappeared into it. To this day I still hate, Achy Breaky Heart, and a tip of the hat to Jim for helping me cope with humiliation with dignity.

Vanilla Ice was such an easy target then - they could have mailed this sketch in and gone for the cheap laughs and they would have certainly gotten them - but they didn't. Shawn, the dancers, and of most of all Jim Carrey NAIL to the fucking wall every nuance and subtlety of the Vanilla Ice phenomenon (which is/was much bigger than just Vanilla Ice.) Everything about this sketch is PERFECT.
