Nice. If tuned in open E or E9, Can you make it sound like a pedal steel guitar. bend B to C# with one button and G# to A with second button, then A chord with third button.

Nice pedal steel sound. How is your main patch setup? Meaning what tone, compression, reverb, etc.
@MikeJamesMusic6 жыл бұрын
Everything is running through the GR-55. No external pedals. Those are stock GR-55 midi patches. You not hearing the actual tone of the instrument.

James - When you're using the GR-55, is there a Pedal Steel patch on the GR-55 to get the natural lap steel sound that allows you to glide between chords and notes? If so, where did you find it?
@MikeJamesMusic2 жыл бұрын
It's just a clean guitar sound.

Hello Michael, a little help. Do you know if I can Reorganize the Preset Patches? If not, can I Copy a Preset Patch and Paste in USER? Thanks.
@MikeJamesMusic9 жыл бұрын
lucianowisni To re-arrange patches you will need a couple of empty slots to swap patch locations. Hit save, then arrow over to swap patch locations, then add swap destination. It is a pain. That could have done this better.

Michael James maybe they're upset they don't have the will to invest in the gr-55. I actually ordered mine today. I can't wait. Do you run your gr through an amp or a pa?
@MikeJamesMusic8 жыл бұрын
I usually run it through the PA. The modeling is really good. You don't need an amp with it. The non guitar sounds (Organs, horns, string patches ect....) also sound better through the PA anyway.

All that and you haven't even programmed CTL or the expression pedal, which are both very programmable. You've got a 6 string, one pedal pedal steel right there, or more pedals if you add an external MIDI switch.

The synth pickup for Roland guitar synths are designed for six string guitars with a standard guitar string spacing. I don't think it will work on pedal steel with the narrow string spacing of most pedal steels. But if you have a pedal steel with a wide string spacing then you will only be able to use six string of you pedal steel with the Roland guitar synth.
