I’ve lived in Canada my whole life, and I first heard “You’re the Voice” in 2007 (I was 17 years old when it was released in 1986). I became a huge fan of John Farnham's voice after hearing that song; he has an exceptional voice. I recently watched his authorized biopic. Interestingly, in Celine Dion’s biopic, it’s mentioned that she also didn’t hear “You’re the Voice” until well after its release (I'm sure, most know she’s also Canadian). So I'm going to assume that it didn't get much airplay in North America. 🤘
