GR Performance Exhaust Clips And ASC Delete Comparison (2023 GR86)

Today we did some clips revving launching and doing pulls in Kayleigh’s 2023 Toyota GR86 Premium. It has the dealer optional GR performance exhaust and air filter. We showed you how to delete the active sound control which puts exhaust sound through the speakers, and a before and after! (Filmed in Mexico of course)

Thank you for this! I was gonna go with the awe touring but it was insanely loud and probably won't do much for the value of the car. This is more expensive and not as loud but I know it would be an easy sell when the time came. I'm definitely ordering this exhaust.

@@Dragon228833 He used too much of wverything on launch. Im no pro at manual but you release to the grab point and then add throttle until it starts moving. He was stomping throttle every shift without releasing the clutch which is essentially a half assed clutch kick. So in laymens terms? (Idk how to spell it) hes wearing out the clutch at a significantly faster rate because of his throttle input

I have some friends with newer cars and good exhaust set ups that sound great. Then I drive them and can barely hear it. Seems the sound proofing is too good on newer vehicles. 😔

toyota put gryaris inline3 into gr86 in a test car. i guess gma t43 will have electric turbo inline 3 powering electric drive , maybe like how orbis electric motor and brakes wheel system is same weight as rear wheel it replaces in their show car (rear wheels of honda of the civic type r before current one).driver input , sound, power and torque vectoring, will all be correlated together more than any other car even in manual and clutch driving mode. this is done by engine charging battery with enough power to push car when inline 3 is stops pushing car at every engine rotation, so power will be linear. engine sound , low weight and turbo exhuast scaavganing better than inline 4. engine will be shorter (weight lower to ground means it can handle more speed around turns before tipping over at a turn), lighter(more speed , easier to control traction loss, more agility), higher rpm (more pedal range play space and power), all because engine doesnt have to deal with downshift and car weight movement pressures on engine through wheels. i suspect hydrallic steering to allow more feeling of how close to grip limits car is when around a turn and through bumpy roads pushing up wheel which causes traction loss. if they change their mind and design itas 3 seater liek gma t50, it maybe smaller than even mazda miata(more play space on road).

maybe inline 3 sound can be delayed in echo so its combiend with next cycle of inline 3 engine sound pulse, to create a inline 6 sort of sound

That’s how you launch a car without spinning the tires. I’ve drag raced multiple cars and it’s the only way to get off the line quick on street tires.

Friction equals heat = premature wear. Putting a load on your engine without moving is very stressful to any engine especially a engine potentially clogged with silicone.
