I really like the deeper tone and sound of the MAP exhaust, but I also appreciate the more subdued volume of the HKS. I work second shift, so coming home at midnight with a louder exhaust would probably get me in trouble with my neighbors. If I didn't have to worry about volume, though, I would prefer the MAP exhaust.

Tomei catback alone has alot of volume but, not obnoxious. It gets insane once you put on catless headers. But god damn does it sound perfect. Get alot of compliments at the track/autox.

I used the Hks spec L2 on my 2022 BRZ and it’s great. Low revs it’s got a good bass note then just gets angry when you rev it hard. But zero drone.

I couldn't put that quad-tip on my car and sleep at night. It looks terrible. The MAP and AWE seem to be the best ones. Did you guys do any dB measurements during the tests? I'm looking for a full system that won't piss off all the neighbors but also not get super raspy (especially once I throw on the header).

We don't have dB measurements, but we can confirm that our MAP system is much quieter than the AWE system even with mufflers.

FYI, the AWE track exhaust is listed at 23.5 Lbs, and the Type-D Tomei is listed at 24 Lbs by Subimods. If you want weight savings, it may not be worth paying the extra $900 for the Tomei.

Hks single exit way cheaper & sounds way more race car than the legmax. Also Stay away from invidia N1 if you want something sporty. Its fairly deep but for the price its super quiet i instantly regret buying the n1 as soon as i took it on its first drive . Spec d will make it sound from boxer engine to 90s Na honda civic , sounds EXTREMELY RICER.
