Poppin C had the complete package here. I'm glad new and innovative poppers are shifting things, popping as a whole has gotten boring and stale to watch, it's the same moves and the same rounds over and over for the most part. I'm glad poppers like Slim Boogie, MT Pop, Creesto, Hoan, and Poppin C (to name a few) are changing the scene.

Popping ain’t what it used to be. Remember when Hoan and Salah had that insane connection, and the crowd lost their minds? Now it’s all competition-based. Hoan was waiting for a connection at the end, but the poppin c was way too serious lol, these battles just don’t hit the same anymore.

@@ililiilili3366 MT pop does a lot of styles and he has a lot of moves, his musicality is good too... Depends who's the judge, a bad judge will always be biased and choose boogaloo/popping dancer. Best to let them battle in an open style format when you can do other style besides popping because then it will be judged more fairly rather than being biased toward popping/boogaloo. If MT pop is doing really good tutting and smoking the other guy a bad judge could just argue "he's not popping though" and then I hate that politics. Can't make those excuses in open style format

Poppin' C is a real raw popping dancer, no crowd pleasing, no show and waiting for the beat killing, just raw popping at it's purest form. Bro is a beast, and right now at the top of the game, period.

@@BNEX-CS-2fora das batalhas eu vejo ele mais alto astral, mas dentro geralmente vejo ele mais sério com raras exceções. Talvez ele só não notou que o Hoan queria animar mais as coisas, mas nessa altura do campeonato ele já deveria esperar isso já que o Hoan é esse tipo de cara. Me lembro quando eles se enfrentaram na final do Rhythn N Flow 2023 e em um momento o Hoan buscou essa interação e ela não veio kkk, aí no mesmo ano no old school night vol. 24 o Hoan meio que conseguiu forçar o poppin c a interagir com ele dessa maneira kkk. O poppin c, aparentemente, é um dançarino que dança para vencer e não para se divertir ou se desafiar. Por isso que eu acho ele chato.

Poppin C and Hoan have battled multiple times in the past and eveytime it was close. But this one for me atleast, Poppin C was way better. Felt like hoans round were flat for some reason.

Best popping event of the year. You dont need a large crowd. You need enough young talent, enough legends, a good DJ and friendly exchanges. Im sure next year more legends will return and first time this event because is thaat good. Respect legends from all over the world for taking a plane here. The ones that didn't come should return next year hopefully of course. This even had everything. No disrespect intended to previous events. All love❤

Popping C deserved it his rounds were sharp. I've never been Hoans biggest supporter, but he's undoubtedly one of the greatest and when he's on he can kill anybody. This looked almost bizarre to me with how off he seemed here. It doesn't even look like the same guy at points. Congrats to C.

Hoan is getting on in age a bit I think. Nearly in his 40's now, given that he started dancing when he was 14 in 2002. Plus, when you've been doing it for that long, it loses its magic after a while. I've only been popping for 9-10 years in a more serious manner, took breaks in between, and I'm already a bit tired of it. Dancing comes from the heart, but the heart is not an unlimited resource. You need to revitalise yourself constantly, and at some point, it's gonna feel mundane like everything once you've put your 15k hours into it. Hoan was a great champion, almost unbeatable in his prime, but it's past his time now. Not even really because of age, but because of what I explained From what I can tell, Poppin C is like five years younger than Hoan and also has about 6-7 years less experience than him. Plus he only just started winning competitions, so the hunger is still there. But like Hoan, I think he'll peak in the next 3 years and start getting worse from that point

@@HarryMaguire-xb1pr Mt Pop competed in the 3vs3 openstyle as well as popping at this event. Same as last year. That's why he has that big cardboard in front of him, because his team won the 3vs3. If I had to guess I would think his priority this year was the 3vs3. His teammates were from his crew, Xclown from Vietnam, so that's more symbolic. Also, I believe he was either sick or hurt last year as well.

2013~2016のHOANは無敵すぎたのもあるが、最近のHOANもフレッシュさと音楽表現が他とは違っていて PoppinCよりも見てて面白い。でもPoppinCが圧倒的な流れとHitで破壊する感じが昔の無敵HOANみたいで火力すごいけど、やっぱHOANなんだよなぁ　つまりHoan fan boyってこと

Hoanはグルーヴを中心に行きすぎだよ。もちろんそれが悪いというわけではないが、ますますオープンスタイルに進んでおり、ポップバトルでは審査委員に低評価される部分かもしれない。そして最近はバトルでバトルらしくせずに審査委員ショーに似合いそうなムーブだよ。

@@_3psilon それは間違いないね。HOANの最近は、勝負にこだわらずに新しいスタイル開発とか楽しんでるの優先してるのもあるな（徴兵前は国内外優勝し尽くしたからか） PoppinCは今が優勝しまくり全盛期で勝負強さがえぐいから審査員からの評価はもちろんPoppinCに向くだろうけど、個性があまりない（これは人それぞれ）凄い上手くて強いだけ数年前は色んなレジェンドポッパーとかHOANのシグネチャーバイト説でコメント欄荒れたこともあるしｗｗそれでもHOANは高確率で決勝戦行くし出るだけで盛り上がって再生数も他の動画より高いしね。そういうことっしょ笑あとどの大会でもPoppinJが同じチームだけどやたらHOANには挙げないのもある笑　EBのOG達が審査員の時はHOANに挙げること多いのに

I lost interest in popping dancing because of Poppin c. That's enough, you made me hate you, Poppin C winning every contest is starting to get on people's nerves. Hoan won this contest by a wide margin, but won again due to the judges' admiration for Poppin C. Hoan is different than before. I thought about winning the 2022 Feel the Funk with a new style and going with a cool groove-centered style, but it seems like it's been changing again recently. The problem is that the style in this video is all over the place, and it's the worst. Pop is getting less and less, and it's really going with an open style.

@@_3psilon I really liked Hoan's performance on Dance Vision. And on Real Time Korea, Hoan said he was tired from the night of partying he had with the other dancers before the battles. In general, I find Hoan's eccentric groove interesting. I find it strange when he dances without his characteristic enthusiasm, as is the case in this final here against Poppin C, where I only liked his first round.

Boy yall tripping.. Hoan beat poppin c.. the bias in the comment section is obvious. Poppin c was good though just very neutral. No highs or lows. Hoan was more well rounded and was a more up to date with his musicality and concepts.

But, you must surely realize that when the opinion of the comments precisely aligns with the view of the judges you can scarcely say that it is bias which is dominating the discourse but consensus dear fellow. But for the record, Hoan has the stronger and indeed much larger fan base and so, perforce, the prevailing bias (when it presents itself) will always be with Hoan. Just as it resides with dancers like Soraki, Rubix, Crown and the Twins. C won fair and square. Hoan seems quite lax recently, I must say. Which is not a criticism towards him just indicative that he is leaning more towards performance and entertainment now - which is fine, but not a good approach if you want to win battles lol.

@@Arareemote I think a lot of people’s issue is a winners bias. you see someone who has a fan base because they are good and in your own mind make them the hill to climb or say they not authentic or good because people like them ( everyone you named is dope. They just don’t have fans for no reason) . It doesn’t matter how many fans someone has if someone is better then they are better. It’s an excuse people can make to make bias judgment. Hoan is battling outside of his country and against a hometown dancer. If you take away the home court bias and the “fan base” then off skill Hoan was better. Older poppers are just stuck in they ways and don’t like to push a dancer who is elevating an older style.

Yes, that's right. Hoan's style is gradually changing into a style that would suit the open-style category, and he's moving away from powerful pop and taking a groove-centered move. There will be areas where you can be undervalued by the standards of pop judges.
