Honestly, if I had 80 grand, I would do the same as you. I love this car, it looks very nice and has that JDM feel to it that I don’t feel with the new supra or the Z

Thanks for the great content. I ordered an RSR cage after I saw this video and it has been more than 1 years and they haven’t shipped it yet. No response at all from them when I send email. Is RSR studio a scam?

Pretty sure all the critics Curriculum Vitae showing they are engineers,chassis builders and have built a hundred cages

Car looks more like a drift car than a SEMA build

Offer all the tubing choices you want the bolt in interface is the weak point. There's a reason both the FIA and NHRA will not certify/homologate bolt in cages, sorry. I'm sure you put alot of effort into your product, but it is NOT anywhere near as safe as a weld in cage. And Larry, please don't pretend like they are, you should know this. 🤷♂️
@JP-gd1ln2 жыл бұрын
NHRA does allow bolt in cage with correctly sized back plate & mute point as this car isn't built for any nhra or fia events. Majority of drift events & time attack events allow bolt in cages the most important aspect is a solid structure that's above the fixed back seat in a roll over a fixed back will not collapse and head will be in crush zone so a half cage with fixed back / harnesses is the safest option for street & track duties be it bolt in or weld in both keep head from being high point in roll over

One way to look at it is how many sub 3000lb sports cars can you buy new for 80k?

Bolt in cages are prone to failure… not as safe as a weld in option. Please advocate this comment section.
@Javierm0n02 жыл бұрын
Prone to failure means theres a high failure rate thats been documented. You cant ask for people to advocate for something without offering actionable data to people who cant go to track days every week. Otherwise you just come off as a hater for people less in the know.

Also what was the construction type of those bolt-ins that failed? Was it a specific connector from a specific manufacturer? What was their geometry? Who designed them? Who installed them? Were they installed correctly? This is important to bring up.

My question about this car its always the same HOW GOOD IS THE ENGINE ´? We all now the old Fa20 was a "shitty" engine for the brand toyota , rough to say but maybe was the worst engine on a Toyota history. I know its a boxer Subaru engine .... My question is .... we all know the chassi design and the way it works is great indeed most of the Japoneses big NAMES are upgrading the chassis . I agree that is nothing new to discover or do on the s13/s14/s15 theyre good but old chassis . Time and development bring us new promosing things . But not all of us are engineers or D1 drivers who can afford to buy a GR86 and put a 2JZ on them , we need something reliable to daily basis and some track/drift fun. No swaps straight fun .So is this a full complete package car? Is this the new 350z? I think we need to go foward and start to keep following the inovation . I dont want to see this cars with old SR20dets if the chassis are "dead" the engines too . Want to see if this car gonna be the "cheap" drift car with solid base of mod . Hope so , this way we can start to see something diferent.

Impressive it even breaks loose with that joke of an engine. V8 or go home.
