stock, the microphone is located in the passenger footwell and I have the ASC on, so that is what you're hearing

Nice driving. How have you liked the GR86? How does it compare to other sports cars you have driven?

It is a very enjoyable car to drive on track. With my current setup it is a little rough on the street but not terrible. Previously I owned a 2020 BRZ and 2017 GTI. The extra torque is really nice compared to the Gen 1 cars. The oil starvation is a bit concerning however.

@@will_l Cool. So i am looking for my first fun "sports car" Somewhere between 35-40k. I'm considering Golf R, WRX, GR Corolla, or the GR86. I was also looking at used S4. And to be honest, an Audi is my dream car. But I have never owned a brand new car, I'm 34. And I think I would rather own a new car, even if it's not the exact model I want. I love hot hatches, but the GR86 is now on my radar. Since you have owned the Golf and the 86, which would you go with?

@@javiersilva1577 unless you plan on doing a lot of track days I’d get the GTI or the GR Corolla. They are so much more practical and easy to use daily, and just as fast (if not faster) in the real world. I have a MK8 GTI as well currently and enjoy it much more for daily use.

Yes, just 5W-40 and 1L overfill. I do cool down laps to keep oil temp below ~250. If you are on lower grip tires such as these SX2s, the oil starvation problem seems to be lessened.

The pass at turn 5 on the red Porsche was unnecessary risk. I wouldn’t want to be on the track with you.

That pass was more risk than I generally take on and I apologized to Porsche driver after the session, who had no problem with it. Frankly however that type of pass is not uncommon in advanced open passing groups.

Going slow and off-line in the advanced group for no apparent reason is also an "unnecessary risk". Will responded in a predictable way to an unpredictable car. If he had jammed the brakes there, it could have had a knock-on effect for cars behind. The porsche is probably pushing 100-200 more hp than our car. I don't know how else you'd interpret someone practically parking the car in the middle of a straight like that.
