This song is hands-down one of my favorites of all-time. Emotions, to me, are very hard to present and explain, so I use music as my way of coping with / explaining intense emotions. This song represents (to me) the slow building of anger about the world and how things are, until you eventually snap and breakdown, angry at everything and everyone - Having nothing left to lose because the world already took it all away. It's just ... amazing. So, so amazing. Thank you so much for making this piece ♥️

1st off, this isn't even in the same time signature as Lateralus, and yes 4 notes in total are the same, but they're played in a completely different riff. I'm assuming these guys are playing in either drop D or drop C, which means that the notes they're going to play are similar to TOOL's when they play in this style. That doesn't mean they're ripping anyone off. Also, there are only so many notes on a guitar in case you didn't know that. Not that it matters in this case because this riff isn't even close to TOOL's in terms of time signature. You do know how music works right?
