Grace Design Felix Preamp Demo from Peghead Nation

Grace Design's Felix is a great-sounding instrument preamp with two channels and a bevy of smart features. In this video, Peghead Nation Co-Founders Teja Gerken and Dan Gabel demonstrate the unit using a Lowden O10 guitar with LR Baggs Anthem electronics, a Collings MT-2 mandolin with an Audio-Technica PRO 35 mic, a Neumann KM-184 microphone, and a Fishman Loudbfx Mini amp.

Thanks for the demo! Love the sound of microphone only the best (@9:04); the sound was a bit muddy with the two sources (is the 50/50 mix the problem?). I like the idea of being able to mix two channels, but after hearing the demo, I am not sure.

How does this sound using a mic for vocal and plugging in an acoustic guitar? Do you use the blender 'Mix' with that setup? Sounds great. I just want to be sure it is what I'm looking for and haven't seen much of anything with vocals. Thanks.

You could use the Felix that way, but I haven't done so myself. I bet it would sound really good!

Yes. There is an excellent mic preamp in one of the channels, even phantom power if you need it.
