She is nothing like the media portrayed her to be...as some wild, feral, aggressive black woman. Beautiful, classy, intelligent, funny, well spoken, very thoughtful, intriguing, down to earth and straightforward.

@cnoevil.51467 жыл бұрын
WRONG, WRONG, WRONG. Grace Jones staged her performances and ran her productions. Her concepts were her own. Getting her start in fashion made her more conceptual and artistic than others. You know zero about Grace Jones. Grace was and is an artist more than the hacks you seem to worship. Stay dumb, stay jealous.
@cnoevil.51467 жыл бұрын
Agree. But it appears Xcuze is just an sorry excuse for a bitter, hater. They come with the territory of fame.
@cnoevil.51467 жыл бұрын
Nope. Sorry. Claim your true ID. You're a sorry excuse for a human as is the case with most haters. Flouting your "opinion" doesn't equal realism nor does your "opinion" amount to truth. I'm not even a Grace Jones fan at all. Doesn't take one to see that she is original and an artist. I am an artist. It takes one to know one. You are counterfeit knowing nothing about music or performance.
@twiggyspookykids7 жыл бұрын
Grace always understood what she was doing, before and now. She studys and lives art. Most of today singers are being told what to do, Grace has done collaborations with many artists but everything was inspired by her, nobody come up to her and tried to put clothes and an identity on her. She totally knows what she was doing, nobody builded a career for her from the nothing. She had all that capacity inside and others artists helped for make it work. Like any artist does. It wouldn't have worked if someone come up and tried to put her in their own visions like you said, she KNOWS very well in what she was and is involved. Everything was inspired by her, she isn't manipulated by others. She is the source, her identity puts all the collaborations in the map. I read a lot of her and I've seen all of her interviews, She feels her thing, that's re reason why it worked. She's real. Don't try to discredite her, very disrespectful!, inform yourself. When an artist is being told what to do doesn't works and looks unprofessional. Look at Grace, is obvious that the lady feels her thing! lol

I love her speaking voice
@Celtic-Wild-Sparrow4 жыл бұрын
@TheDennydude ~ It's strange, because she is speaking in with an American accent in this interview (which I have never heard her do before), when her real speaking voice is a mixture of French, British and Jamaican...Jamaica is where she originates from and her family still live there. Here is a link to a short video on our British Television from 1977 (She is treasured here for her artistic expression, music and feisty personality!)...and you can hear her strong British accent. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kJOypKCKi8xpopo Sometimes, when she was younger she would adopt the accent of the place she was in, perhaps to feel more welcome and that she belonged...or to be accepted... But despite this she has always been brave enough to be true to herself and her unique artistry and expression of herself...no matter how wild...and thank heavens for her wild heart! =) Have you ever watched the documentary film about her by Sophie Fiennes..? It's called 'Grace Jones: Bloodlight and Bami' and is an incredibly intimate, powerful and vulnerable portrait of her life and follows her to visit her elders and family in Jamaica and includes stunning concert footage... I recommend watching it, it's wonderful! Here's a link to the fantastic trailer... Good wishes to you ! =) kzbin.info/www/bejne/rXutaZWQp9dsnsU

Being born in the 90s, I first discovered her in the movie Conan the Destroyer playing as the female warrior Zula. By far, she played the best female warrior character I have EVER seen in a movie or video game (unlike those ridiculously unrealistic big breasted characters they often have nowadays). She was perfect for the role and appeared to be enjoying it too. I just couldn't take my eyes off her! A true artist. We need more like Grace Jones.

Velle M wow! Lol. I read that lady gaga stole her persona and a lot of other things from a friend she had in high school who commited suicide. The deceased girls mother provided proof with art, lyrics/poems, and the personality of the girl. People wondered why the girls really hung out because they had nothing in common and gaga was very privileged and attended a very private school with young celebreties. The deceased girls mother also said she was shocked when she first saw gaga video.😒

She seems like a totally different person based from personality to image. She always looks so intimidating with that flat top look and agile appearance.
