Grace wanted a ukulele but her parents refused thinking she wouldn't keep it up, so Grace used money from her 11th birthday to buy her own. Her first public performances were at a local coffee shop open mike nights. Grace and her mom went to AGT auditions on a lark, and she ended up winning season 11 at age 12. She's 17 now, currently filming her second Disney+ movie, for which she's also writing songs.

The ukulele was Grace's instrument of choice before and after America's Got Talent for the first few years. Since Covid, her instrument of choice has been the guitar.

The ukulele has been her main instrument; so much so that she has her own line of ukuleles with Fender. (the youngest artist to ever do so) And, of course, she won America's Got Talent when she was twelve, singing songs she wrote on the ukulele and it has featured prominently on her album and EPs. Lately she has transitioned to the guitar and has been writing rock songs rather than the melodic, mostly introspective songs of the past but I love anything she writes. Still only 17, currently shooting(and writing music for) Hollywood Stargirl for Disney, a sequel to a movie she made when she was 14. (she got the lead despite never having acted before) Hard to know what to recommend, she's written so many good songs. Perhaps her first appearance on AGT which currently has over a hundred million views. Or, performance- wise her appearance on James Cordon's show singing one of her best songs Escape My Mind. Watch enough of her and I guarantee you'll become a fan.

Since winning America's Got Talent in 2016 at age 12 Grace has released two EPs and one full album, and is recording and releasing new music right now. She has had two successful solo tours, opened for Imagine Dragons & Florence+Machine plus several music festivals on her own, many TV and radio appearances, starred in a Disney+ movie (Stargirl) and is in LA right now shooting the sequel, Hollywood Stargirl.

Grace is a mix of talent and daring with a charisma that hasn't been seen for many years, she has accumulated in her resume a series of achievements in a short period of her career, one of the most expressive was winning the AGT 2016 when she still had only 12 years after AGT, came a series of songs of her authorship all with an incredible quality among them highlights to Moonligth, City Song, Ur so beautiful, Stray, Don't Assume What You Don't Know and Repeat , and excellent work, congratulations and “always success” !!!

Grace is the type of artist you can't wait for her next artistic creation, I know it's selfish on my part but I'm constantly waiting for this young kid to surprise me even more. If you go to her Instagram music videos on KZbin she was constantly providing musical content throughout the COVID lockdown. Music she's working on, that she produced herself with inexpensive equipment but it's unbelievably fascinating. She even dabbled in poetry that's deep and impactful, the video is terrific, along with really good covers. Enjoyed your enthusiasm to Grace's music.

Also Live “Today and Tomorrow “ she wrote and was featured, along with her in the lead role, in Disney-plus’ Stargirl movie. Also the live version of Moonlight at her awards ceremony at Billboards Rising Star Awards. She just turned 18, Has put out very successful albums and won every young Under 30 talent award there is. She has numerous appearances on every big name talk show as well. She writes/composes 98% of her own songs (WELL over 100 to date; does her own thing and style depending on what SHE wants to be, at that point in her life, while offstage is still an ultra intelligent and (a rare thing nowadays) grounded young performer. She is amazing and her fans number in the many millions around the world from the very young to the very old; due to her unique voice, talent, and most often deep lyrics that far transcend her age. She started her jet to superstardom at age 12 by winning AGT with of course her own songs; though as you now know was popular even before then in her local coffee shop talent nights. She did a few songs at that library and all were great live performances but the one that I personally loved was/is a song called Florets. Original and the lyrics are mind-blowing especially written by a 13yr old. She also has a funny explanation of how the title came about.
