Love this and totally doing it this year with all our subjects and supplies! I used an “all in one” curriculum last year for a few subjects and it did include all the books and papers, but almost every week we were going to the store for something that we needed! And YES to the binder setup, organizing the papers and craft things this year was stressful for me bc it seemed nothing we did worked and everything was all over the place.

Our shower curtain liners are the same exact way, so I started buying double shower curtain, and taking them both down and washing them. It has helped so much. It's definitely kind of pricey in the beginning, but in the long run it saves so much money, because I had to keep buying those liners. 😊
@creeksidehomeschoolers6 жыл бұрын
Yes our liner get super nasty too, year ago my MIL bought us a washable one and it works great!! It some kinds of fabric, it keeps all the water in the tub and I just throw it in the wash on cleaning day! We have had it for about 10 years and it still looks great and has held up well! One of my favorite things also about homeschool is not having to buy all the everything every year!!! And from the things you ended having to purchase, we already have everything, but the microscope and specimen trays. I have one kids who is super crafty and artistic so were are always buying some new things for him to explore with. Yes yes yes, I would love to see how your organizing your kids binders! I'm not a big fan of binders because the are so big and take up so much room when they are opened up; so I bought a pro click binding machine, but I love seeing how others organize things and get new ideas. Love your videos and watching your family grow!! And I'm super excited to see how things go with TG&TB.

I love your videos! You are such an inspiration. I am going into my second year of homeschooling with my son for the 2018-19 school year and we are going to try The Good and Beautiful this year after watching some of your videos. I am planning on doing the same science as well. I would LOVE to see what is in your binder as I am still new at all this. Especially because I am doing a whole new curriculum this year. Thanks so much for your videos! I love seeing your DITL videos as well! :)

Loved the video! I would love to see a binder organization video. Have you done a video about what you do with their completed work? Do you keep it all, some of it, trash it? We just finished our first year. My state doesn't require us to keep anything but I still want to. I'm just not sure how to store it - binder, box, bin...

Our shower liner gets gross too, I make my own after shower spray and it really helps. Use an old cleaner bottle, fill half with water, fill rest of way with white vinegar and if you have it or want to add 10 to 20 drops of tea tree oil and lavendar EO. I spray the tub also, but mostly focus on both sides of liner and it extends its life

We don’t have Instagram anymore so thanks for sharing on here. Your kids are so cute! That hat looks like one my son would want. Haha.We homeschool year round too so I totally understand the need and feeling to get things organized and ready now. It’s on my weeks list right now. I shop for things we just need but those pencils are a must every time! They are the best. And that was a great price at Costco! At the end of the year your kids binders will be like a great portfolio of your years work! I hope your school year is blessed!

About the plastic shower liner: I just throw mine in the washing machine with lots of bleach and hot water. When it's done, I hang it directly back up on the shower rod and let it air dry there. Super easy and quick--and I know it's CLEAN. They don't last forever, but I have to replace them much less often now that I clean them this way. Hope that helps!

I highly recommend buying a fabric shower curtain, then you can toss it in the wash with some bleach and it's like new. You may pay $15 or so, but it will last for years. We've had ours in our current house for 7 years. Cloth liners are well worth the price in the long run.

We came across it at a store called "The Home Store" but I'm sure you can find them on amazon. I typed this in "waterproof fabric shower liner" and our is like the first and second results that come up. Its genius. Saves money anddd it EASY to keep fresh and clean.

Idk if you have a video about this already so maybe you can link it if you do have it ... but I was wondering can you maybe show like when you take breaks or what your school year looks like, like from when to when? I would also like to homeschool year round but ... I don't have any clue like when to break and what "year round" actually looks like. Hope that made sense.

I think a part of me wants to homeschool but it's just not right for us at this point for a few reasons. It's always on my heart, though! The kids just got out for summer (I have a 5 and 6 year old) and we have a summer work routine so they don't experience the "summer slide" and forget what they've learned! haha I woke up this morning and they'd both gotten up before me and did their worksheet packets for the day. Ambitious! Keep the material coming. It makes my heart happy!
