This was a turning point for the Jewish people. The Jewish people were worshiping idols and that therefore the temple was destroyed. When Darius proclaimed the god of Israel to be the only God to be worshiped the Jewish people had to throw out their idols. This led to the building of the second temple in Jerusalem. Today God wants us to worship him without having a decree in the government she wants her heart to be loyal to Him.

I'm going thru a very hard time right now. I lost my mother in December and was her caretaker for over 2 years until she passed. She had been very abusive my whole life but I followed God's commandment and I honored her. And for 2 years I woke up every morning and kissed my husband bye and went and gave my mother the best care. Care she had never given me. And I was blessed because 3 months before she passed God won and mom and I became best friends. But now I find out that my husband started an affair while I was following God's word. Now he has left me for another woman. And I never saw it coming. I love him unconditionally. I can't understand why I'm punished when I was doing what God commands. I feel like I've been thrown into the lion den. And don't know how to get out.

Wow that is a rough ride at the moment for you, the bumps and bruises we get along the way somewhat beckons us what did I do to deserve this? could I have done things better?, read the bible more each day? witness to the many people I meet each day? all my striving to do what is right in accordance with Gods word?, then thankfully and in Gods perfect timing he led me to the waters of living waters and gave me reassurance in so so many ways and comforts me by reminding me he is a refuge in the times of trouble, a rewarder of those who diligently seek him, a comforter in the times of need. A motivating, inspiring tool for me has being Job(righteous man), Daniel and of course our saviour Jesus himself, and what they went through. My little affliction I face now is nothing compared to what is waiting in heaven albeit rough the reward is well worth it and along the way being a help, guiding light, a vessel of righteousness for the lost and unsaved I believe we all have a lions den, thorn in our side, the enemy will try and attack us and if we have a weak point in our armor the enemy will unfortunately get in and give of thoughts of doubt, confusion, hopelessness, but through Christ ALL things are possible, if God is for us who (or what) can be against us, praise God for your faithfulness, the bumps I've faced and endured has made me stronger in the Lord more than ever, apologies for going on you will end up so much better off by hanging in there kia kaha

Because that was and still is the law in some countries. The father is responsible for teaching the children and usually they instill the same thoughts and ideas in their children. The wife almost always go along with her husband’s decisions as they all benefited from the bad acts . It would be the same as saving the baby roaches but ridding the adults. All of them are corrupt and cause the same damage. If you go back and read the law in Deuteronomy & Leviticus you will see the penalty that comes down from God.

Daniel felt deep compassion for the lions being tormented by the castle personnel, strirring them up, teasing them, abusing them, enraging them for a better 'show'. he would sneak down to the den and play soft music, give them treats out of the kitchen, talking to them, calming them, praying for them. so, when he got tossed in with them, the boss lion, who miraculously was a 'genius' (many individuals of the mammalian species are like human 'geniuses') figured it out instantly, pushed Daniel against the walls protecting him, and made it VERY CLEAR that ANY other lion so much as LOOKED at him the 'wrong way', then he the boss lion would kill the offender and let the rest of them eat that one. they calmed down, by morning everything was calm, Danial and a bunch of them were having a nap. Daniel's unwaivering faith was the reason he did NOT breach that 'rule' about dealing with lions, do not show fear. and he didnt. this went a long way to successful outcome. the book of Daniel is one of my favourite. aaaaaand meanwhile, the king, realizing he had been duped by the palace intrigue, was SEVERELY pissed and THEY go into the same den. their scheme BLEW UP IN THEIR FACES.

However, my side eye and skepticism comes into play when all of the characters in the bible are depicted as Caucasian; When there is no mention of racial description in the bible. So who made the decision to make all the characters look European. The only description given is that of Yeshua in Revelation 1:14-15. According to this description Yeshua is no where close to look like a European Man. This really makes me wonder. That if something so small about racial description is still being lied about.
