Remember Eva was a great great great great great grandmother or so when she gave birth to Seth (Genesis 4:17-25) Probably, Seth was the first boy she had after Cain k*lled Abel. Note it says child to replace Abel and not a Son to replace Abel. There is no mention of daughters before Seth, only after, why should we assume there were many daughters in between if there is no mention, for me it would make more sense that there were humans already and Adam and Eve were Yahweh first humans and there rest were created by other gods. Adam and Eve having only daughters before Seth means that Enoch, Irad, Mehujael, Mathushael and Lamech married also daughters of Adam and Eve or daughters of Cain (i don't know what´s worst). It would not surprise me since women are 2 class species in the bible not worth to be mentioned, but what probably gives again is the fact that there is no name of Cain´s wife, actually the second woman with a name in the bible is Adah and the third Zillah both wives of Lamech

I was having this convo with someone over the weekend. I find it interesting that Christian folks trying to explain this never make any actual sense. Sin was sin. Incest was incest. He was going to sacrifice what god told him too. In Abraham’s mins he was gonna obey god. He would trust God, god would raise him from the dead, something, he didn’t know but god said through Isaac he would become a great nation so the boy would be coming off that mountain. If we read the Genesis account with an open mind we see there were actually TWO accounts of God creating Humanity. "Let us make Man in our image" in Genesis chapter One, gives us the clue. The creation of Adam and Eve in chapter Two was a separate event altogether. The Garden of Eden was like God's "laboratory" where He would use Adam and Eve to determine the fate of the human race . . . and even more importantly . . . to establish a bloodline for the eventual birth of Jesus Christ. Was it a bit unfair of God to condemn Mankind for the sin of Eve, and then Adam? No. It was completely in keeping with His character, given the millions of people He slaughtered in the Old Testament. It is my belief that there were already plenty of people around by the time God created Adam in the unique "from the dirt of the ground" way to bind forever the bloodline of Jesus to the earth. Just think about how it would have been for the poor woman whom Cain married! She'd be marrying the first murderer, her own relative, in fact; if she was a close relative. But then we also need to consider the Mark of Cain story line, in which if anyone finding Cain would be likely to kill him . . because he would have been a stranger to them, not having grown up in the Land of Nod. So God gave him a special mark to preserve his life, even though he'd committed that heinous crime. He was still God's "grandson" if you wanna look at it that way. I think it far more likely that Cain's wife probably didn't know much about him at all, him being a stranger and a wanderer and all. Also, note how it wasn't until Cain had been gone from his parental home for a few generations before people began calling upon the Name of the Lord. Could it be that it took Cain that long to influence the rest of humanity in the regions where he wandered? Cain wasn't a heathen; he was still a God-fearing man, still smarting for the rest of his days from God's punishment. In the wash-up, we'll never know for sure. But one thing I ask of anyone reading this . . please allow for an alternative interpretation of the six days of creation. The way I see people, especially on KZbin, interpreting the Scriptures to suit their beliefs, it shouldn't be too hard to find a translation in which "day" can mean "epoch" or whatever. That would make far more sense than trying to squeeze the accepted 14 billion years of the universe's existence into six literal days and not appear like the raving lunatics we see these days doing just that! We don't have to believe in evolution in the slightest to accept the age of the universe. The two should be completely separate. The age of the universe has nothing at all to do with evolution. Unfortunately scholars and Christians have lumped them together. It's just more convenient to condemn scientists for believing in both concepts if they're linked.

This one speaks to me more - I just see the Character of God Almighty (Abba Father) more in here than any other logical explanation - it makes more sense. He still gave Cain the mark like how He still covered Adam and Eve with clothes after sinning - that is so much like Him. The narrative in the video regarding this question makes total sense and is how the describes the answer regarding Able finding a wife. At that time period, the genge pool was still pure enough so that offspring wouldn't get birth defects as is the case in the present. There is a book that I read a few years back that actually traces the lineage all the way back to Adam and Eve. It's called Traced: Human DNA’s Big Surprise Secrets of the New Rosetta Stone by Dr. Nathaniel T. Jeanson on March 22, 2022. It is very possible that the first few generations married their brother/sister, first cousins or other close relatives. This is what is supported by Biblical text both old and New Testaments in the gospels when Jesus was asked about marriage and divorce pointing back to Adam and Eve and why men leave their families and cleve to wife and establish their own families. Here are some interesting points: 1) Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters that are not listed in the geological records because people in ancient history only listed genealogies to tell a story of significance, not to account for every person ever born. In this case the reason why Seth was mention is because that's when people started to turn towards GOD. There may have been other sons and daughters born to Adam and Eve between Able and Seth. Genealogies are not a complete list, but a start to understand past history. 2) The definition of Eve means mother of all living. 3) The longevity of poeples live could easy get many different generations living at the same time, as when Naoh was around, Adam and Eve were still living, and the same thing happened after the flood with DNA lineage being mapped from Noah's three son to the present, as recorded in Gen 10, known as the Table of nations to present. What sources are you drawing on to get the possibility of other people groups not coming from Adam and Eve?

You are implying an interpretation of scripture that is apparently not there. The Bible makes it clear that it was after Seth that Adam and Eve had daughters. One can not ignore fact, but when faith does not add up to fact, then faith forces one to think of an alternative that can go hand in hand with fact or logic. There was a genetic mutation that enabled speech in humans, "in the beginning was the word and the word was with God". The planting of grain that lead to land ownership of land and resulted in 'civilization' was rejected by God and he returned Cain to a pastoral nomadic lifestyle, where he most probably met other humans without the gene for speech and married a woman from among them. There is a genetic Adam traced by that genetic mutation that enabled speech carried on the Y chromosome, presumably all descendants of Adam carried that gene.
