i got to visit my orphanage in india . most emotional experience i’ve been through. closed adoption so didn’t and still don’t really know who or where im from. but i remember the girls at my orphanage and they had to sign out in a book just so they could go into the city in mumbai. and i smiled at all of them when they passed by me and signed out. but i bawled my eyes out once the last girl left through the door. bc that could’ve been me. it’s an all girls orphanage too. once you age out, you can either choose to get married, or to work. and working is just being a maid in someone else’s household. im so blessed bc that could’ve been me. this is why i love and admire ur family so much. all your kids are going to be amazing (:
