They have a near perfect teardrop shape to them, must be insanely aerodynamic.
@Stoop_Kidd5 жыл бұрын
its actually just their feathers that make them look aerodynamic, without the feathers they look like a tiny chicken with long legs and wings.
@theflyingcrud5 жыл бұрын
@@Stoop_Kidd that's true, but remember that feathers are part of their bodies as well. Almost like saying dogs look weird without fur (true, but hopefully almost never applicable)

@@Stoop_Kidd barn owls are one of the few (possibly the only?) species of bird that makes no sound when it beats its wings. The wings are shaped so that it disturbs the surrounding air as little as possible

@@michaelscarn5625 thats all owls but yeah
@randompheidoleminor30113 жыл бұрын
Not really, their faces are disk shaped to be able to better absorb soundwaves to determine the acoustic location of prey at night. A better example of aerodynamics would intuitively be the fastest bird in the world - the peregrine falcon.

Why add wing flapping sounds? These creatures famously don't make sound when flying. Add crazy sound effects if you must, but not ones that directly contradict their greatest evolutionary advantage.
