Jeramey might even be worse than we thought, y'all. In an effort to defend himself against his ex-girlfriend's claims, he wound up admitting that she called the cops to protect her from him during one of their disputes and that they sought it fit to permanently confiscate some of his g*ns.
He left the details surrounding why they would take them out in order to skew the narrative and randomly let it be known that his ex has a DUI, which is completely irrelevant to the story.
He's a weirdo and a master manipulator and I believe everything his ex said about him.

I’m a lawyer (but not a criminal lawyer) and I would say just do not reply or give a general denial. A point by point denial works for certain social media situations but over explaining never looks good unless you know what you are doing, and he does not. His descriptions of his guns sound crazy. He just went from being a jerk to seeming dangerous.

The biggest thing that stood out about her story was their move from Florida. THAT was a classic move. After she showed that not only would she seek refuge somewhere else, but with his family exposing his behaviour. Working with survivors that part was so sadly typical. He then wanted a “new start” away from things causing this stress. But the truth is he wants to further isolate and remove those outside eyes. The worst thing for an abuser is for someone else to see what they are. The DV dynamic depends on both parties living out the act for others.

YES, they absolutely do in domestic violence cases. At least where I lived in 2012 (texas) when it happened to me. I tried to have the charges dropped and the state said no. If there is enough evidence to go forward without the victim's cooperation, they absolutely will. Because they know abusers commonly talk their victim out of pressing charges.

As a victim of DV, if you do a background check on someone with a DV police report, it will not show up. That is NOT public info. Its nearly impossible to obtain. However, she should be able to have a copy from the police from the day of the incident. She should show those

With the police report, I live in north carolina, the victim has to file a report for these. There a certain report as well for DV. Most victims dont follow through with reports when police get involved... for many reasons they dont. And most abusers highlight the fact that they dont follow through to further gaslight. They can take his guns away if they suspect hes a threat. They can also remove him from the home with the victims permission. But if they owned the house together, north carolina cannot legally remove him from the residence they both own... Its sucks because i know someone close to me that had a DV situation. Most victims do not go no contact even when recommended to. There are many reasons for this...

These are always there and can be emailed with a name/address when requested yet are not available via internet search. Police reports are only made when there is evidence- not a he said she said.
