John is a true gentleman and consummate entertainer, who interacts with his audience. John gets immense pleasure performing for his fans, and gets as much from the audience as they get from him. ALWAYS react to John Farnham LIVE.

A few weeks ago I had unbearable nerve pain, no food and no one to help. I had Shingles, I was full of fear and mental exhaustion. This song helped me get through and a person did help. A pharmacist saw me sitting on the sidewalk hunched over in pain. Despite the pharmacy being closed, she opened up the doors, literally, brought me medication and made sure I got home safe. I listened to this song on repeat for a week. Thank you for such a beautiful reaction to a beautiful song and a much loved artist.

I`ve seen this song reacted to so many times & the reaction is always the same. Everyone can`t help but be blown away by Johns voice & performance. But this is the first time I`ve seen anyone play his song twice in the same reaction video. To do that shows how much you really enjoyed & appreciated John`s performance. Well done, such a beautiful heartfelt reaction. Another song you must react to is Jimmy Barnes & John Farnham - When Something Is Wrong With My Baby

John always sings with the right emotion.....every song from Sadie to Gethsemane. But this song was very special and important to John. His original management controlled him in every way but were ignorant with respect to Rock, Pop and any current popular music. They gave him an almost English skiffle song to start his career and then followed up with a string of BJ Thomas covers. Yes, he sold a few records to grandparents and 5 yo kids but was derided by the youth and young adult scene in Australia..... people like ME. John ended up broke..... down and out and with a family. He was saved by the bass player of a great Australian rock band, The Masters Apprentices. The bass player was Glen Wheatley. Glen decided John was too talented to fail...... offered to manage John. Glen found the right songs and musicians, back up singers etc to have another go at cracking the Australian music scene. To make their first album together , Glen mortgaged his house.....takes a lot of money to make a record. lol The rest is history...... John has the voice and the talent to use it. Glen had the faith in Johns talent.

Wow never seen someone watch it twice in row. He is soooo loved here in Australia, words can't actually explain how much he actually means to us. Please react to "your the voice" in the same concert, it's our unofficial Aussie anthem and everyone from children to the elderly know it and it is sung at the top of your lungs. He is a phenomenal artist and even though he decided not to go international he has had so many international artists want to sing with him, Celine Dion, Tom Jones, Richard Marx just to name a few. Even the members of the Beatles who originally wrote and performed this song thought his version of help was better than theirs, listen to the Beatles version and you'll understand why. Fantastic reaction. Love you John and the country is thinking of you and your family in this hard time of your life x

I have watched various reactions to this song, but young lady, yours epitomises what it is like, to hear Farnsie! Take the journey of discovery, as you have found the best vocal treasure in the world, Gee he's a couple of months older than I. but we Aussies have grown up with him, since the 1960's. Sadly just undergone major cancer and a readmittance for more urgent treatment, we wish John the best of everything. Listen / watch the full +2 hrs of this concert and then follow his live performance music through country, classic opera, rock, ballads etc. You can't get enough of his talent. Enjoy!!

I’ve watched this performance many times just recently, hoping for John to recover well from his cancer surgery. Watching others, especially those overseas who don’t know John, is particularly touching. So many cry. The song, the audience, the band & orchestra are phenomenal, but John gives a masterclass in performance every single time he opens his mouth, & this is a beautiful example of why here in Oz he is The Voice.

Originally this was John Lennons plea for help which was ruined by music executives who forced him to speed it up into a Rock 'N' Roll song, and i think the message was lost on everyone. John slowed it right down into a ballad and milked it for every scrap of emotion he could to make the message more noticeable. John Lennon did get to hear this before he died and he was in awe of John Farnhams version and said this is how it was supposed to be sung, and was also a little dark on the fact that he didnt do it himself first. Tina Turner also loved this and did her own slowed down version with her own flair and mark on the song.

I'm sure I put it up AGAIN. Well here goes a 3rd time. Started in 1967 with SADIE THE CLEANING LADY kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4vIg6Cmq6ide9k and went on from there. Close friend of Olivia Newton John who he worked with in Australia from time to time. This is a great one from the same concert too: IT'S A LONG WAY TO THE TOP IF YOU WANT TO ROCK N ROLL kzbin.info/www/bejne/bWS7kK2Vr7xnick Also same concert: YOU’RE THE VOICE kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJ6VnpJvis6dqdE Also sang DARE TO DREAM from Sydney 2000 Olympic Opening Ceremony with ONJ - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hKisl6CJYrWgog (note you may need to alter a VPN setting to Australia to see that). This is good too - the 2.5 hr concert with ONJ and our Phantom from Phantom of the Opera (Anthony Warlow):- THE MAIN EVENT kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5WQhoaHecpsmsk A bit on John - Born in the UK in 1949, came out when 10 to Melbourne Victoria, Australia. Same sort of history as Olivia Newton John, who was born in the UK in 1948 and came out when 5 to Melbourne. Both worked in the industry in Melbourne in the 1960's and eventually Olivia ended up back in the UK and then the US. John became the King of Pop with the 1967 hit ‘Sadie the Cleaning Lady.’ John had his chances to work in the US but wanted to live in Australia. He is now in his 70's and sadly went through a 12 hour operation for throat cancer losing part of his jaw back about the same time his dear friend Olivia died in August 2022.

Just to add to all other comments but this was the third encore at the end of a 2+hr concert. John is a living legend here in Australia. He always gives everything plus more to every song the he sings. Just a small info. this song was originally sung by the Beatles in the 60s and they wanted it to be sung slowly. Congratulations to you, Gracie. I have seen countless reactions to this video , but you are the first to react to the final “HELP”. John sings this final help and last vocal run ( of sorts) in a special way. He is copying or paying tribute to the “Father” of Australian rock, Johnny O’Keefe. J OKE’s big hit record titled SHOUT always started with this particular vocal run, the sung lyric being “WELLLLLLLLlllll !!!!
