Grace!! With the Oreo, if it breaks off like yours with cream on both sides it usually means it’s older or closer to expiration date (probably why it was on offer) whereas newer Oreos will most likely break off with the cream on only one side xx

Could it be because the UK Oreos aren’t in a plastic tray like the US ones are? It looks like your Oreos are just in a sleeve, so there’s less protection from shipping/jostling/dropping etc, so they are broken before you even take them out of the pack!

I volunteer as a leader at the same church group and all of the kids that are there now have just started doing it too. I swear, the second I saw that kid delicately dip their custard cream in the orange squash, a tear came to my eye... The nostalgia!!!!!! The tradition lives on!!!!!!!!

Grace! Try twisting the top cookie off, rather than just pulling it off. It should come off clean. Edit: Just saw that you tried the twist method too. 🙈 It normally works for me!

They were probably close to their best before date, that's why they were half off, and that's when the cream part starts to be drier and the cookie part more crumbly and more difficult to twist the top off without breaking it.

you know what you do? You leave the oreos in the fridge for a bit, then once the icing in the middle has hardened together, it becomes easier to twist it off perfectly.

I only knew about it because it was close the Rege de Logement (landlord tenant court, LOL) You could smell it while walking from the Metro. It only closed very recently. Montreal is the coolest place. Lots of great food happens there, from farm to table, and manufacturing. Are you from there?

I used to make oreo mug cakes in the microwave. Just blend or break up oreos into tiny pieces, put some milk in til it turns to a paste, put it in a mug or a bowl ( whatever u want lol) and then microwave it. There's no set time for it cause it depends how much you use, but I just check it every 30 seconds or so until its cooked through. It Is Amazing 👌🏼😋

I’m chronically ill, and making my med boxes up for the week always bums me out; like ten medications needed just to keep my quality of life where it is. It’s like I’m 80 or something. I really don’t like doing it because it bothers me so much. But watching her videos help combat my moodiness while I’m getting it done, and by the time the video is over, I’m finishing up. In America we buy oreos in the tray which I think helps from the breaking. Also they dont get so smooshed together so the filling and cookies are pressed together as hard
