We had two of these exact same car seats when our kids were younger (now ages 11 and 8). The functionality was great. The only complaint I had was the rattling noise from them when you would go over bumps. The main part that rattled were where those red plastic pieces were on each side of that styrofoam on the back rest (can see it @ 2:30 in video) To stop all the clacking noise I folded a small piece of paper and wedged it between the red plastic piece and the shell of the car seat. Also to anyone looking to get one of these 100% get a seat protector. 😂😂 Ask me how I know.

Question! For those waist straps that go into the frame, mine keep coming out but there’s nothing that actually retains them inside that metal, it looks like they just sit in that gray channel but there’s nothing that really holds the straps in please help

Are you talking about the metal bars going vertical about 2:30 into the video that is for the seat belt anchors that attach the car seat to the car’s anchor?

@ no so you have the shoulder straps, and the strap that goes between the legs, but the 2 straps for the waist, when I detached the upper from the base those 2 straps are not connected, please post a short showing what these look like being in place

Nice video! For the backless booster stage, where did you get the “ears below the top of the seat back” guidance? I feel they can quickly outgrow that once they are 50” or taller (at least in cars with shorter seats), yet the stated height limit for backless booster is 57”

The part about the fire department is not accurate. At least in my state which is Washington. They are not required to take any car seat safety or installation class. It’s a 3 hour class they have to take on their own time. I was having issues with instal and went to the station my dad works at. Several guys came out to help and none had a single clue. Fortunately I did get it all figured out!

How old before my son use the booster seat only??

The manual says 4 years old, 40-120 lbs and 40”-57” tall. Must be all of these. There are also state laws you will want to verify
