Hi Myles ... thanks for educating us man! Thanks to your channel and your GH5 course on Udemy, I managed to record and publish my first music video clip ever made. I know it is full of problems and there is a lot of room to improvements, but as the first one I am ok with it. ( you can watch it on my channel ) Once again, thanks for your lessons my friend.. Cheers - Myr

That's absolutely awesome to hear Myr thank you! The music video looks great, I bet the band is happy! I especially liked the light flares in the dancing scene :)

@@ShotByMyles Thank you very much Myles. I'm very pumped to have you commenting one of the scenes! You have been very inspiring and a truly master. I was quite lost with the equipment before studying with you ( I know there is still a lot to learn, but you have definitely helped a lot!!) . The dancing scene was one of the most difficult as there were no budget for the proper lights, I used some cheap constructions lights ($10 each :) ) . I will do your course once again, I will probably learn a lot more as I'm more familiar to the camera and the filming process. Thanks man :)

That means a lot, thank you very much! We're all still learning and developing :) I could tell the dancing scene would be tough to shoot with the lighting, it came out good though and it's good experience to learn from! Hope you keep enjoying making films!

Hi, thanks for your video. Other than making presets to re-use, can you not just keep adding additional curve layers to 1x clip, instead of duplicating a clip multiple times each with differing changes?
@ShotByMyles4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Roger, I don’t remember this video 100% but if I change the blend mode of the duplicated clip, the answer is no- you couldn’t replicate the same effect by just adding curves changes to the single clip. If I’m changing the blend mode of a layer it impacts how the colour changes are applied and in one of the examples will limit how aggressive the changes are applied which should make it feel more natural. Hope that helps explain the rationale!

If you were using 10.4.7, you'd find you can do much, much more with color masks now.

Refine by saturation, luminance and hue right? I’m looking forward to it but won’t upgrade to that and Catalina for a little while yet :)
@markspencer12034 жыл бұрын
@@ShotByMyles Yes, full HSL qualification. I understand your hesitancy to upgrade to Catalina but I think it's fine to upgrade to 10.4.7 assuming you are on Mojave.
