In defense of Paolo, if you watched the magics playoff run this year, it was very very obvious that the awful awful offensive talent on the Magic are what is holding him back. He had a few flashes of being something special, but the magics whole offensive gameplan was for him to just take the ball and force it into the teeth of a great Cleveland defense with almost zero spacing, and try to get some stuff going. And he did pretty well considering those circumstances and his age. Like Cade, it’s a question of how bad his team is vs how much of that is on him, but I think Paolo has shown enough flashes for me to lean towards not blaming him for his efficiency being crap

For real. They were both merchants of a historically weak division for most of their careers. Brady has his cheating scandals and LeBron has his steroid and illegal tampering scandals. Both were called the Goat by many LONG before they had a legit claim to the throne. Both lost in the championship of their best season I think the main difference is that LeBron actually plays well in the playoffs regularly whereas Brady got carried to sooooo many wins by great defenses

How does Portland seem to find all of the greatest “what ifs” with injury plagued players. Bill Walton (RIP), Greg Oden… all centers with huge college careers that had injury issues in the pros. All of these years later and I still feel bad for Brandon Roy. He and Aldridge would’ve been a force for years. Would’ve been interesting to see where Damien Lillard would’ve ended up in an alternate reality though.

I’ll say it, considering the totality and depth of each draft, I think the 2009 and the 2018 draft (in a few years) are better than the 2003 draft

Praising Devin Booker for staying on a bad team and keeping his head down and working is quite ironic while being a fan of a guy who left a bad team to form a super team. Hypocrisy

LeBron the player vs LeBron the “agent” are very different things. I like you do hold that against him for really hurting the league and being a wuss.

@mramisuzuki6962 I love Barry's content, but the Bron glazing has gotten old if not sad. Not to mention that Bron is a way more shitty leader than Jordan

@@geekymetalhead5112 yes it was totally a Steph fan anti-jerk that’s gone full mental meltdown now. LeBron is a top 10 bad thing for the league up there with 90s tankathons, 70’s drug use, the weird Jewish conspiracy of the 50s, the lack of team balance adjustment in the 60s, not dealing with the ABA correctly, the bad collusion with the NHL to drive hockey salaries down and while keeping the NHL teams as the capital(arenas, tv rights kickbacks) owners. The KD, LeBron player empowerment era was killing basketball and now the flat out racism/provincialism to improved whites, European, Euro Black, and African players reeks of Clutch Sports and black exceptionalism in the NBA is a dying fart cloud leaving the room as these guys age out and ruin their “goat” status. Good riddance to this guys.

@@thebestcentaur "fact". Quite disappointingly incorrect. I mean, people are entitled to their opinions, however misguided. But to blatantly state objective falsehoods is disingenuous.

I remember after the 2017-2018 season, the 2017 draft class was seen as a contender to 2003. Dennis Smith Jr, Mitchell, Tatum, Lonzo Ball, and Fox were seen as sure superstars. Josh Jackson, Bam, Fultz, Allen, John Collins, Lauri Markennen were all fringe stars. Dennis Smith fell off fast, Lonzo and Fultz been injured the whole time, John Collins is meh. Lots of great players, but Tatum and Mitchell as your stars isn’t super strong imo

How the hell is JJ Reddick ranked ahead of Rondo, Rudy Gay, and Brandon Roy? B. Roy was more impactful in a single season than JJ was in his whole career.

You didn’t pay attention to Brandon Miller’s 18 ppg rookie season with good defense if you think his ceiling is good role player. Also Scoot is a rookie PG which are always terrible, the jury is still out on his ceiling.

2011 my Sacramento Kings drafted Jimmer Fredette, leaving Klay and Kawhi on the table. 2018 Marvin Bagley over Luka. The best Kings pick was probably DeAaron Fox.

Wait...How does a draft that features a top 25 player all-time, another probably future hall of famer with 4 dpoy awards, another 2 time all-star, a guy who wasn't an all-star but 20 ppg 7 straight years as the same rating as a class with 3 total all-star appearances. Gobert has that by himself.
