In defense of Paolo, if you watched the magics playoff run this year, it was very very obvious that the awful awful offensive talent on the Magic are what is holding him back. He had a few flashes of being something special, but the magics whole offensive gameplan was for him to just take the ball and force it into the teeth of a great Cleveland defense with almost zero spacing, and try to get some stuff going. And he did pretty well considering those circumstances and his age. Like Cade, it’s a question of how bad his team is vs how much of that is on him, but I think Paolo has shown enough flashes for me to lean towards not blaming him for his efficiency being crap

The 2010 class is being a BIT underated. Paul George was a top 5 player at one time, boogie was the best center for a 4+ year stretch, wall was a top 5 PG from 2013-2019 etc All 3 of those players are also all nba tier players as well

For real. They were both merchants of a historically weak division for most of their careers. Brady has his cheating scandals and LeBron has his steroid and illegal tampering scandals. Both were called the Goat by many LONG before they had a legit claim to the throne. Both lost in the championship of their best season I think the main difference is that LeBron actually plays well in the playoffs regularly whereas Brady got carried to sooooo many wins by great defenses

The difference between Brady and Lebron is that Brady was insanely clutch and went 7-3 in the Super Bowl. Lebron was 4-6 in the finals. While all 6 losses aren’t due to Lebron and all 7 wins aren’t due to Brady, that is the difference that NBA fans look at.

You're underrating Evan Mobley, he's a top 5 defender already, and is basically a more athletic, better offensively, and better perimeter defender than Rudy Gobert, who is an all-star DPOY level player. Mobley will finish his career with multiple DPOY and All Star games and as the best player from that draft.

10:00 Oof, swing and a miss Barry. 2010 is one of the deeper draft classes especially within its own decade. Top level talent in PG, Cousins, and Wall. An all star in Gordan Hayward and TONS of Role players throughout. The only thing that really knocks this draft class is the injury bug. Many top players in this draft had career altering injuries.

How does Portland seem to find all of the greatest “what ifs” with injury plagued players. Bill Walton (RIP), Greg Oden… all centers with huge college careers that had injury issues in the pros. All of these years later and I still feel bad for Brandon Roy. He and Aldridge would’ve been a force for years. Would’ve been interesting to see where Damien Lillard would’ve ended up in an alternate reality though.

I remember after the 2017-2018 season, the 2017 draft class was seen as a contender to 2003. Dennis Smith Jr, Mitchell, Tatum, Lonzo Ball, and Fox were seen as sure superstars. Josh Jackson, Bam, Fultz, Allen, John Collins, Lauri Markennen were all fringe stars. Dennis Smith fell off fast, Lonzo and Fultz been injured the whole time, John Collins is meh. Lots of great players, but Tatum and Mitchell as your stars isn’t super strong imo

You didn’t pay attention to Brandon Miller’s 18 ppg rookie season with good defense if you think his ceiling is good role player. Also Scoot is a rookie PG which are always terrible, the jury is still out on his ceiling.

2003 and 2018 are the best draft classes. I would say that Anthony Edwards is the best player of the 2020 draft class but other than that I agree.

2011 my Sacramento Kings drafted Jimmer Fredette, leaving Klay and Kawhi on the table. 2018 Marvin Bagley over Luka. The best Kings pick was probably DeAaron Fox.

Wait...How does a draft that features a top 25 player all-time, another probably future hall of famer with 4 dpoy awards, another 2 time all-star, a guy who wasn't an all-star but 20 ppg 7 straight years as the same rating as a class with 3 total all-star appearances. Gobert has that by himself.

All these draft classes and somehow Barry did not bring up Hall of Famer and greatest point guard of all time Chris Smoove.
