@@everybodysMaster1 seriously, the Fulmer trade is a perfect example. Tigers somehow have a top 5 bullpen and the only guy they trade from it gets a single prospect in return who is 25 and has a 7.17 era in AA. If he traded the other 4/5 valuable bullpen arms and the young starters in the same way the tigers would literally be a AA team in the majors

As a Mets fan no lie I was underwhelmed at the trade deadline, but that said..it looks like their FO might have known something that we didnt, now the DH spot is a big boon and really helped out against the Yankees and Braves series. That said, Braves have a very dangerous lineup and until the last pitch is thrown in the regular season, I still say the division will be a dogfight between the Mets and Braves. The loser winning the 1st wild card. The phillies arent a slouch as of right now either, so 3 NL east teams might go to the postseason at this rate

@@henrycalde1991 as a mets fan, I disagree with the assertion that the front office knew something that we didn't. There were plenty of us that knew these were good pickups. Hated seeing Mancini leave Baltimore and to trade Lopez. But it was the correct move for the future. The Dan Duquette Era Orioles would have kept Mancini and would have lost him in FA. I'm a Brewers fan, and I was so disappointed by what they did at the deadline. I didn't mind the idea of trading Hader IF we got a top prospect or two in return. Instead, we basically traded him for a middle reliever, a utility player/pinch runner, and a guy who may be a bottom of the rotation starter in a couple of years. I simply cannot believe or accept that that was the best return package we could have gotten for Hader, and if it was, we should have just kept him.

The interesting thing about the Cardinals is the GM Mo plays the safe card, like longevity over a stellar single, maybe few years. Which is why the Cardinals have been consistent playoff teams and winning records for like 25 years or so. A lotta Cardinal fans obviously want the big name players, and STL is blessed with Goldy and Nado, but personally I’m glad Soto isn’t a Cardinal. As a Brewers fan I would give them a D, I get trading Hader that I can understand, but I don't understand why we had to DFA Lamet even if we had to make more salary for Bush, then the Bush trade also was ok, but I really hate the Rosenthal trade, not only do we give up a to 20 prospect in our farm system, we only get maybe a month out of Rosenthal, unless we sign him again in the offseason, but we also could have signed him a month earlier instead of trading for him, it was one of the stupidest trades ever and he hasn't pitched in two years so we have no idea how good he actually will be.

Regarding the Astros deadline moves: You mentioned Will Smith is not who he used to be, but have you considered that the Astros tend to take mediocre pitchers and turn them into gold? It's their specialty. Also, I'll give you that Maldonado has been slow offensively, but defensively he looks almost better than ever and since July, he's actually hitting VERY well. Vasquez was supposed to be the catcher who hits, but now they both do so we are never sure who's gonna be starting. lol.

Amazing going back to this and seeing Jordan Montgomery going 4-0 with the Cardinals with a 1-hit shutout. It's still probably a B because the Cards do always make safe trade deadline moves but Quintana has been very good too. It's wild to watch what the Cards are doing right now and Yankees fans are hating that trade.

The trades this year seemed very lopsided towards the winning team getting the better deal every time. Mainly a Royals fan, so the main problem I had was with the Royals not trading Merrifield last year or the year before. I think the vaccine status and Merrifields comments soured the Royals fo on keeping him around. I'm with you that I feel the Royals got fleeced on many of the trades. Should've pushed Yankees harder for at least a higher in system prospect, same with the others. Maybe Dayton Moore and company finally get the boot after the next 6 weeks is done? He hasn't been able to put in near as good a farm system as the one that propelled the Royals of the early 2010s. Padres definitely killed the trade deadline and Yankees look more "in" on this year than previous years. The NL is definitely more stacked team wise and I believe their representative in the WS will be the winner, whoever it may end up being

On paper, San Diego looks like one of the best teams and most people seem to assume their gonna get the 4 or 5 seed comfortably. I think the Padres are still not nearly as good as people think and are going to completely miss the playoffs. Everyone is WAAYYYY too confident in the Padres ability to make the playoffs for a team that is ONE game ahead of the 4th place Brewers

I think the Hosmer trade is great for the Red Sox because they're only paying him the minimum for his entire contract, and the Padres are covering the remaining 44 million. So there's really no reason not to have him, no matter how bad he might be (and he's been good so far) he's basically a free player.

Aye it may look like hosmer has been good, but watching him daily as a padres fan you can tell he’s bad. Idk how many games/runs he’s cost us on the defense. He had the hottest April and may, but fell off quickly which is why his stats are so inflated. He’s not clutch at all and has the highest ground ball rates ever!!!

C for Jays. We still don’t have reliable pitching, and Mitch while is a filler SP brought in to replace a filler SP. We have only 2 consistent true starting pitchers. We were also trying to make playoffs, and at the start of the season had even higher hopes. Merrifield is past his prime, and is basically an advanced utility player for us.

I'm not really surprised by the Franmil move, tough to keep around a DH who's not hitting and will be due a raise next season. They'd rather rotate other players in the slot and move on, and he's an odd type of player where he's not quite good enough to start for a contender, but many non contending teams probably won't spend money on a DH and instead use other players.

There are teams that are worse like the Rockies and the Tigers. I don't particularly like Perry Manasian but I like the trades he made. Iglesias has been horrible this year and he's gonna decline and he's owed $14 million each of the next three years. Syndergaard was alright I knew they were gonna trade him at the deadline. Moniak's actually been good for the Angels so far but he just got hurt. The Angels should have traded Marsh years ago he's not that good

@@thatkristiandude4048 if you waste trout and ohtani at the same time with nothing but dogshit around them then you're the worst front office. Plain and simple. The Rockies and tigers didn't do what the angels have done to 2 superstars. Stop being stupid. Them adding Micky moniac means nothing. 💀😂
