When it took me 2 hours to drive the last 1/2 mile (yes, you read that correctly), I didn’t feel very VIP……….

Parking got better throughout the weekend thanks to the airport. They made them stop charging for parking because traffic was making people miss their flights. VIP pickup was a breeze Thursday morning. My buddy did not have fun waiting in line outside everyday. I waited for him inside😂 I kept getting turned around in the big room. I believe it’s because all of the corporate stuff was stuffed in the back so the floor didn’t have many markers, just a huge room with the same looking tables. Brought my own food, water, and beer. Had a cooler in the car which made for a nice midday fresh air break. Bathrooms lines weren’t too crazy after Thursday and were relatively clean comparatively. Wore jeans comfortably except in the corners of the room. Nothing like last year. Internet wasn’t great, but if you were persistent it got there. I didn’t utilize my vip perks enough, but walking right in was worth every penny. Can’t wait for next year!!!

I would have to give it a 5 as well based on the same factors/my experience: - Parking/getting into location: 2 (a lot of the issues with flow into the show stemmed from with the lack of enough parking staff) - Admissions: 6 (I got in and out relatively quickly (15 minutes or less) but it just wasn't intuitive and could be done faster with more staff) - Show layout: 7 (relatively intuitive, no real complaints) - Food: N/A - Prices: 8 (obviously there are some ridiculous sticker prices on the floor but there's wiggle room or better prices from other dealers) - Bathrooms: 4 (I got in and out relatively quickly but I think I just got lucky) - A/C: 8 (I wore pants on Thursday and I had no complaints even though I usually run pretty warm) - Internet: 2 (struggled a while to get signal to pull up ticket QR code and to pull up PayPal) - Seating: 3 (obviously not enough but the chairs against the wall were great for a little breather) - VIP: N/A

wait, you had to wait in a line to get your vip ticket? the MN card show VIP passes you get it emailed right to you and print it off to hand to the person when you get there and in you go. seems the National could figure out something with this technology we have of email / printers ...

Yeah we were all boxed into a long narrow room like cattle being led to slaughter. About an hour and 10 minutes in line in a room that was hot and stuffy because of al the people. They only had maybe 10 or so people working in the room handing out the passes and the gift bags.

It sounds like it was nice overall, but lots too improve on.

I had no issues with the wifi myself. Maybe because I have a Samsung Galaxy G6.

Ladies & gentlemen, here’s yet another example of how the card industry could benefit from emulating the world of Star Trek… true, every year in Vegas there’s a huge Trek convention, however they also go from city to city - so why doesn’t the National become a traveling show?? Like a 20 city convention tour over 52 weeks, from coast to coast?? Bring the Natty to the people - it’s only logical 🖖🏼

I'll go when they stop putting these events in hell holes with no AC, bathrooms, internet connection, nearby hotels and other basic needs.
