Grado's can be uncomfortable. Now they can be comfortable.

Tried this with the spares I already have, a knockoff L cush and an old m50x foam. Sounds great, big improvenent on the bass and noticeably wider soundstage. Although, I'm still hesitant about gluing them together.

Brilliant man! Just got in a pair of RS1X and my ears immediately started gushing blood *sarcasm* . Question though...do either of these mods affect the bass response? As of right now they are pretty tame when it comes to bass and I definitely don't want to lose any.

The GS1000 pads add a slight boost, but nothing serious. None of the other mods affect bass response.

Have always heard good things about Grado's but have never bought any because I hate on-ear headphones. If I can find some good used ones I might give this a go. Cheers man

45mm driver ? Where is difficulty to disassembly it and assembly it in a very large choice headphones (like superlux 330 is a 45mm frame driver unit)

It’s a 40mm driver, and disassembling a set of Grados is pretty hard without a heat gun. You gotta melt the glue that holds the two plastic housing pieces together. Not sure about the superlux’s tho.

Increases the depth the pad. It’s not necessary, but I did it anyway.
